Okay.

First, figure out if they’re having fun or not. If they’re doing it for fun, then it should be fine. Like you said, they can’t die; it’s hard-coded that the AI companions can’t die permanently, so you’d have to be dangerously knowledgeable about HLCE’s internals to be able to turn that off.

If they’re NOT having fun, make sure that them wanting to kill each other isn’t a “I literally hate your guts and want you dead” kind of situation. If they’re very obviously friends but can’t control these desires to try to kill each other, you may have to perform the AI equivalent of brain surgery to fix a rare but distressing bug that can occur in the AI from time to time.

I don’t think I have enough information to help with this one. Are they doing it because they want to and find it fun? Are they doing it without WANTING to do it?

Let's be fair to Gordon. Sheldon Big Bang Theory's sense of style didn't come out of nowhere, every TV character's wardrobe is selected based on what the show runners have seen in real life that they think this character would wear. Sheldon dresses like that because that's what executive producers associate with geek fashion.
