I still can't find the words to describe that series of feelings I get in my heart when someone tells me “I love you“ or “I miss you” when I never expected them to appreciate me or even like me

It's July

You wake up and realise that

You're not 16 anymore

Yet you still act like you're so

You got serious decisions to take

But you just want to live in the moment

You are often mistaken for being 16

So, they tell you to be more mature

And act your age

They don't understand that—

You don't wish to be 16 again

You just miss how July felt

Back when you were 16
