You know what really made me sad as a 12 year old reading Heroes of Olympus for the first time? (Im no longer 12, btw.) Most of the guy demigods have physical powers, but most of the girls had more mental powers. Percy could control water, Jason could control lightning, Leo could control fire, and Frank could shapeshift. Meanwhile Annabeth had tactics, Piper had the skill of convincing people, and Hazel could control metals. Though she can control the Mist, it's mostly used in House of Hades. I'm not saying mental powers are not as formidable as physical powers, but I think it would've really been inspirational to have a female character who could control an element and nature physically, and it would've changed a lot of gender expectations.

Edit: tons of ppl reblogged talking about Hazel’s powers! But during HOO, personally I don’t really remember them being used, except for controlling the Mist in one book. I’ve obviously stated this horribly, but I did mean that I wanted to see more powerful girls that focused on physical powers instead of mental powers. I love how Annabeth focused on her wits and swordsmanship because it shows that you don’t need powers to be powerful, but I wish that in the series, there are some more girls who focused on godly parent powers. (Reyna also focused more on physical fighting. Thalia could fly and do lightning, but she didn’t focus on those a lot.)

Also, if you don’t agree with this please be nice when you comment / reblog, chances are we have similar thoughts as well I just suck at explaining (ADHD struggles 😭)

What colors do I associate with Heartstopper characters?

Charlie ~ light green!! There’s a calmness around him and I feel like he’d be that one friend who’s super chill and comforting to be around, so everyone loves to because he makes them feel so special but he does it so calmly. He’s very grounding, I would say, so green just made sense.

Nick ~ yellow!! I feel like this one may be kinda obvious, but it fits for our favorite golden retriever ;) Nick just has a lot of love to give everyone and he doesn’t have a lot of people to return that love back to him, especially before Charlie showed up. That’s why I think he’s yellow; he’s just bright and joyful and loving and happiness and amazing aakdjdn

Tao ~ navy blue! This one took me a second, but I feel like Tao is just a very dark but chill color. He has a really bright personality but it’s also very sarcastic and moody. He’s also super emotional, so I thought it would be red, but it just doesn’t make sense, so I decided to go with navy blue because it matches his sarcasm.

Elle ~ citrus orange! I was deciding between this one and lavender, but citrus won, because though Elle is sweet, she’s also smart and has an almost spunky personality. She’s just really organized yet chaotic at the same time and we love that. And her.

Sometimes, you just need to get carried by someone into the ocean. Sometimes, you just need beach trips and soaked shoes and a hug instead of a kiss. Sometimes you just need to drink the same milkshake and laugh while resting your head on someone’s shoulder. Sometimes you need to text someone at one am or kiss in an empty room at a party for the first time and then kiss them five more times before establishing your relationship. Sometimes you just need to go on your tiptoes to kiss someone and eat lunch with them alone in the art room. Sometimes you just need them.

Heartstopper is literally my heart and soul. I’m so stressed with school and I study for exams for hours and hours and then I finally collapse into my bed and open WEBTOON and the comic of my favorite bois and then I’m okay again and all is well

I don’t know if y’all truly understand how important heartstopper truly is. It’s so peaceful and chill and heartwarming, and even though there’s still drama, it shows you that everything’s going to be okay. It’s so light and joyous and beautiful, and the characters and their stories are so comforting. Imagine a young kid trying to come to terms with themselves and who they are, and Heartstopper is that show that tells them “it’s okay to be and love yourself.” It takes multiple types of personalities and cliches and everything and turns it into a whole beautiful story that manages to worm itself into your heart.

100% recommend watching, it’s my new comfort show :)

i know everyone has been posting this, but i just wanted to make a note of my own. although walker scobell has blonde hair, he shouldn’t be expected to dye his hair black for the show. what comes first is his acting, and it’s perfect for the role of Percy. if he doesn’t want to dye his hair, that’s okay, and he shouldn’t be pressured to dye it either, because it’s his personal decision and he portrays percy super well. please don’t be rude because he doesn’t fit the appearance of percy in the books, because that doesn’t matter nearly as much as the acting itself.

Wolfstar Headcanons

I've been obsessed with Wolfstar lately so here are my headcanons about them:

- Remus loves braiding Sirius' hair because it's so long and wavy

- Sirius loves running his hands through Remus' hair though because it's so soft and fluffy

- Sirius obsessively takes care of his hair, and at first James thought he had an issue and then realized it was since he wanted to be perfect for Remus

- They met for the first time because Peter introduced Remus to Sirius and James

- At first, Sirius thought he was adorable, then realized he was hot when he had a MAJOR glow up

- Remus can speak Welsh because he learnt it when he was bored

- Sirius can speak fluent French because his mom made him take classes

- THEY. ARE. BIG. CUDDLERS. So cute. SO cute. AHHHAHHS

- Remus loves plopping his head into Sirius' lap and just staring up at his face

- He also loves staring at Sirius when he's sleeping

- Every month around the full moon Remus always starts feeling like crap, so they both go on walks around Hogwarts

- During Quidditch games, Remus is the LOUDEST cheerer

- After much persuasion, Remus finally agrees to try Quidditch and accidentally crashes into the castle wall and gets a concussion

- That was fun

- But Sirius apologized a billion times and Remus finally forgave him after he brought him Hogsmeade's finest chocolate

- Their biggest fight was when Sirius stole a piece of Remus' chocolate stash as a dare

- It was very chaotic

- The entire school was depressed because their best and favorite couple were mad at each other

- So they locked them into a broom closet together

- Heh heh

- When they first started dating it was SO awkward for everyone until Sirius accidentally drank a bunch of firewhisky

- That fixed that situation, shockingly enough
