i dont really vibe with any of the existing quoigender or quoiromantic (also known as wtfromantic or whatromantic, but i like quoi) flags, so i made one myself a while ago and i'm finally posting it!

the two lines are a minor optical illusion; the brain finds it difficult to distinguish whether they are the same color or a different shade, similar to quoigender where you just can't really tell what's up. i mean, how am i supposed to know!?

the purple is because a) i think it looked the best out of the colors i tried, and b) oh my god there are so many names for purple. magenta, mauve, burgundy, lavender--i have zero chance of knowing which name for purple means which KIND of purple. i will genuinely never internalize that stuff. just can't.

thus, this flag! i really like how it looks and i definitely prefer it to the existing quoigender flags. anyone can use, would prefer credit if possible, have fun! haven out✌️

This is a simple little charm I use to enchant my morning coffee to help me defeat the day, be productive and kick ass.

☕️ a beverage 

💎a crystal connected to your goal for the day (I use blue goldstone or substitute my mini blue glitter jar for creativity)

DO THE CHARM

⚪️ set the crystal down next to the cup to charge the brew

⚪️ pour or stir clockwise while brewing to attract productive energies

⚪️ repeat an incantation a few times while brewing. This is mine:

“I am a writer & I am done fucking around. I am a writer & I get shit done.” 

⚪️ make sure the incantation is short, simple, and makes you feel like a badass (this is why so many of mine include swearing). It could just be “Today I’m going to [goal or task] and I’m done fucking around.”

⚪️ that’s it! drink up and have a productive day.

TAKEAWAY TWEAKS for when you’re buying rather than brewing.

⚪️ slip the crystal under the edge of the saucer

⚪️ or hold the crystal in your hand under the take away cup

⚪️ if there’s a place to stir, do. You can run your finger clockwise around the rim, or skip it altogether.

⚪️ say the incantation under your breath (if it’s noisy) or in your head (if it’s quiet)

tbh one of the reasons i’m so virulently opposed to allowing “queer is a slur” and “don’t use queer as an umbrella term” to exist as rhetoric in my personal life is because of how that shit is used against me.

queer is used as a slur. queer is also used as a self-identifier. queer is also used as an umbrella term. all of these things are true. but when someone tells me “queer is a slur, don’t you know?” they’re not saying it because i personally called them queer, they’re not saying it because i used it for someone who isn’t queer, they’re always coming at me because i used it for myself or my community.

and then they say shit like “ofc im not saying you can’t use it for yourself!!! you just can’t use it for anyone who doesn’t like it!!! and you have to admit its a slur!!” and what they mean by that is by tagging it as a slur and never saying it in front of anyone who hasn’t specifically consented to hearing that word and never referring to the queer community (even if i’m literally only referring to my personal community of people who call ourselves queer) and i have to degrade and debase myself and hide my identity and talk about it as if it’s some shameful thing!

you know what else is used as a slur, as a personal identifier, and as a community term? gay. i get forcibly called gay all the time! so many fucking people refer to me as gay every day! i’m literally not gay, i’m a bisexual bigender person who doesn’t even really have a same gender to be attracted to, unless you count literally every attraction i have as being both gay and straight by virtue of me being both male and female. and i get hit 24/7 with the “gay community,” filed under “gay people,” called gay as a joke or friendly teasing, etc.

now, i don’t really give that much of a shit as to whether or not people use gay as an umbrella term, or call me gay. it’s not really accurate but i appreciate sharing community space with people who it is accurate for and i don’t mind using the label as a community. what i do give a shit about is that nobody–absolutely nobody–who i have seen talking about how queer is a slur even acknowledges the same thing is true of gay. gay is used to harm people and mock them, gay is used as an insult and a slur, gay is a triggering word for some people, and it’s forcibly applied to tons of people in the wider community that it doesn’t apply to at all and who don’t want to be called gay. and the same people saying this shit about queer actually mock people for pointing out the same is true of gay, and continue to force the word gay on us indiscriminately!

so like. yeah. sure. queer is used to harm people. queer is used as a slur. but the only people who talk about this all the time, who shove it in people’s faces and try to censor use of the word, are only doing it to silence people. they’re not doing it to increase accuracy of labels or help people with PTSD. they’re literally just trying to censor people’s identities. and i am really fucking sick of giving them space in my life.
