The warm water had completely swallowed the entire sandbar of Pungtud Island when our boat docked. My niece and nephew could not believe their eyes. For the first time ever, they saw a sandbar, a lengthy, white sandbar that extended to the shallow sea from a small island. Immediately, the kids hopped out of the boat, ran to along the sandy runway, and made little splashes along the way. More commonly known to tourists as Virgin Island, Pungtud Island lies in the middle of a relatively shallow area between Balicasag and Panglao Islands. It is always a crowd favorite because of its C-shaped naked sandbar.

Balicasag Island is where you will find a 400 meter Marine Sanctuary of healthy corals with plenty of pelagic visitors characterized by vertical walls over deep waters with strong currents. Balicasag Island Diving in December or January can offer treats of Hammerhead Sharks and sometimes Whale Sharks. A sandy shell coral line beach surrounds the island, which in turn, is fringed by a narrow reef shelf, 30-165 ft/10-55m wide. The shelf, which is 15-25ft/3-8m deep, terminates into a perpendicular underwater down to depths beyond 250ft/83m on the north and northwest face of the reef. The top of the submarine cliffs are covered with the hard coral while lower levels are covered with sponges and gorgonians.

Pulang Bato Falls Negros
Pulangbato Falls, otherwise known as Malabo Falls. With its proximity and accessibility from Dumaguete City, it is fast becoming a tourism hot spot.
Pulangbato Falls is one of the so called Twin Falls of Barangay Malabo. As the name suggests, Twin Falls is made up of two cascades coming from two different sources. One is a clear and narrow drop while the other is the famed Pulangbato as the water cascades on a wall covered with sulfur deposits making it appear red (or orange) in color.
Pulangbato Fall has a height of approximately 30-feet with deep and sloping catch basin. Its water originates from the highland of Okoy River Valley at the base of Mount Talinis, a potentially active volcano. Despite the presence of sulfur, bathing in the waterfalls is permitted.

CANUMANTAD FALLS
Deviating from stress with this cold and refreshing water spring in a hidden place. Then Bohol spring is perfect for it. Can-umantad Falls s the most beautiful falls that I have ever seen in Bohol. It looks so majestic! From far off, you will see the falls as one high drop but upon closer look, the falls is in fact in three layers although the 3rd layer is further off and shorter.

A Trip to the Island of Fire🔥
Hi I'm Hannah Guimbaleña and traveling is the one thing that I love so let me bring you to my trip to the Island of Fire, Camiguin. Saying that Camiguin is a beautiful island would be an understatement because experiencing the place I already know why most tourists and locals love the beautiful beaches, the rich marine life, refreshing waterfalls, hot and cold springs — and all of Camiguin’s tourist spots.
Camiguin island is the second smallest island in the Philippines. You can tour the entire place in a day or two, but it’s best to stay for a few days to experience and to see all the wonders. The serenity of Camiguin is what makes it different from other islands in the Philippines. It’s small yet the island’s size is actually an advantage. There’s no need for a long drive to get to one attraction to another.
Together with the Sikad Marino Bohol bikers we had the privilege to roam around the small island of Camuguin. We started our trip at 5:00 am in the morning from Tagbilaran to Jagna then we rode a ferry from Jagna to Camuguin for one hour. From the seaport we immediately went on with the trip.
Our first stop is the White Beach. It is a bare island that’s perfect to visit in the morning through a “banca” ride when the air is cooler and smell of the ocean. White Island isn’t exactly an island, to begin with. Located at Mambajao, a powdery white sandbar awaits you at White Island. You’ll be surrounded by crystal clear waters and two volcanoes. The inviting waters of White Island are ideal for swimming. You can also do sunbathing and make sure to bring a camera with you.For three people, it would cost about PHP 300 for a round trip to White Island. When in Camiguin, this place is a must-see.
Camiguin is blessed with great beaches, waterfalls, hot springs and yes — a cold spring too. Enjoy the cool waters and swim for hours. So we went to Sto. Nino cold spring. This place is perfect when you’re traveling during the summer months. You can rent cottages or tables here. Visitors are also allowed to cook. Bring lots of food and enjoy swimming with friends or family.
If you are more into interesting tourist spot then Sunken Cemetery is for you. When Mt. Vulcan erupted in the 1870s, it sank some parts of Camiguin including this cemetery. To get there, head to Bonbon town and ask the boatmen to take you to the cemetery. You’ll know it’s the Sunken Cemetery when you see a huge cross in the sea. The spot is ideal for taking postcard-perfect photos. Don’t visit just for the photos though; it’s best to explore what’s underneath.
Then if you are more into old churches the Ruins is perfect for you. This church was destroyed when Mt. Vulcan erupted. The grounds are covered in grass, but you can still get a glimpse of its magnificence structure. If you love history, the ruins will delight you. There’s also a great view of the sea from the back of the church.
We continued our travel and found this refreshing waterfalls for an afternoon swim, right after a day tour. Bring food as tables and chairs are provided in the area. Katibawasan Falls is the most accessible falls in Camiguin. There is no need to take on long walks to get to the place. Here you’ll be surrounded by rocks, ferns and lots of trees. Entrance fee to the area is PHP 35.
After a long drive from all those spots we should take a relaxing hot bath for only PHP 30 (entrance fee) at Ardent Hot Spring. It’s located at Mt. Hibok Hibok in Mambajao. If you aren’t on a private tour, you can hire a motorcycle for PHP 80 to get to the place. The hot spring has four separate pools. It’s to visit it by early evening, just before you head back to your hotel. The warm bath will help you sleep better.
But nothing can make us sleep better with the magnificent place to stay. Casa Roca Inn is the perfect place to relax and sleep after a long journey because of its ocean view.
We can't go home if we don't have a pasalubong for our family. The best pasalubong camuiguin can offer is lanzones and their classic pastel with mouthwatering fillings.
Camiguin is really one of the wonders of the Philippines as travel lovers you should visit this wonderful place.
