rewatched lost boys last night and it made me want to amend a headcanon i had for david about flirting. bc nobody can tell me he wouldn’t take over your entire mind. at any moment, the sight of him flashes behind your eyes. you think he’s on santa carla street corners, or waiting in line at work. he’s constantly, constantly whispering your name; before you sleep, if you ever manage to sleep. the way he manipulates even your senses should be studied. a whiff of his scent, heady in your nose. the deepest wine. his hands…imaginary…on your neck, between your legs, you swear he’s cupping you beneath your covers in the dark. he’d have you blinded (literally) for him, in total wanting.

and if you try to ignore him? if you try to leave him? good luck. you’d have to drive a stake through his heart to get him off of you, off your mind. but you don’t really want that…do you? when he remembers your favorite song, twists it like a record in your head, when he’s just so good at making you uncoil when he reminds you of the way he undid you one night in the cave. his eyes so full of you just as yours are of him…

Just saw someone talk about getting doxxed for deleting a fic and 90% of the comments were "thats what you get for not orphaning"... like yall make authors not want to post their fics

Should I make a(nother) social media account dedicated to this hobby I have been really focused on the past few weeks or am I just hyperfixated on it rn and will get distracted in a week or two and not pick it up again for a while and then have a sad empty account???

This is the question that haunts me on a daily basis

Update: I got through 35ish chapters (which ended the main conflict/story that the fic had been about so far) and decided to end it there. No need to read another 15 chapters of unneeded angst or fluff.

Just went through all the stages of grief at once when I realized the 5 chapter fic I started is actually 50 chapters and I just can't read numbers

It sucks so hard being the newest person in a friend group and seeing your friends all hang out together without you, knowing they have a group chat without you, and even worse is knowing you can't be upset with them for it because you know they're all closer to each other than they are to you and have known each other longer.

Like it sucks so hard going through insta or sc and seeing their stories all together. Even worse when they then go into a bigger, broader group chat that you're in to invite more people next time. So you're down to invite people we're loosely friends with but not message the group chat that's just the close group and me? Got it. Guess ik where I stand now

New years resolutions 2023

Finish fanfics before beginning to post them. I'm tired of abandoning fics because I have no idea how to end them.

Wash my face more. Come on man. Self care.

Wake up with enough time before my classes to shower and do my make up. Waking up in a panic and instantly rushing off to class is no fun.

Eat at least twice every day. Monsters do not count as a meal anymore.

Stay within budget. I am unemployed... I can't live like this anymore man

I just found the first few chapters of a Dwayne/Michael fic I started writing like a month and a half ago and completely forgot about! Getting to go in and edit it and make it a real story is my Christmas gift to myself now!

As a fanfic author my favorite thing is going through my google drive and finding untitled docs with a couple chapters of the beginning of a fic I have 0 memory of writing. Slaps so hard

I'll glad nature is healing and all with tumblr and its pornbots but sometimes I wish it wasnt because it makes me a little sad every time I see the new follower message and get excited only to see its a pornbot
