Log horizon: your life purpose. Answering the call.
We all have a purpose. I chose not to believe otherwise. No matter how muddled up our lives get we all have a purpose. What that is I can’t tell you, but what I can say is that you already know. I am speaking only from experience and here is why. When I was young I went to use to go to church events. Youth revivals, men's conference looking for that moment. That bone chilling, heart fluttering moment where the spirit of god would come down and bestow the speaker with the intuition to call me up. They would tell me what I should do and charge me in the spirit of the lord to do it. Emotions would be high and tears of joy would run down my face as I would be prayed over. While I got a good word and the spirit of the lord fell thick in the church. The rest never happened. I saw it for other people I was happy for them, but I couldn’t fully enjoy the event of their revelation. Cause I wanted it so bad. I just wanted a hint. an answer, but deep down I already knew.
Deep down In my heart, I felt a call to help people and change people's lives. I wanted to help people find their purpose. Cause for years I was lost. I thought I was a face in the crowd and didn’t know what my options were. If I could find a way to do that. Then I would be the happiest. God wasn’t going to waste time with the pageantry. Cause he knew in my heart or hearts where my passion lied. I didn’t think it was a possibility for my life. I was unsure if I could. I looked at who I was and where I came from. How could I? The obstacles seem too great and the cost too high. These things have never gone away. I still deal with all my excuses for not doing it and I’m definitely the first person you ask for advice. I do it anyway cause I’m tired of waiting and I’m tired of making other people wait.
There is someone something waiting for me out there and I’m late to the game. I wanted to do it in high school when I was 16. The feeling still carried with me when I flunked out of college at 19. Now I’m 21 and I still have this absurd notion. So why not take a chance. If I can help one person. Then maybe I can tap into this power and give it to other people. This is moving toward that. I know it is a possibility. I’m the guy.
So I want you to look deep within yourself. Tap into that god given power and answer the call. People are waiting.

Log horizon: Shiroe’s Vision Creating your desired result.
In the last post, I wrote about assessing the situation and why this process is so important. You have to understand the question. In order to give the answer. Now that you have looked at what you want and have a firm grasp on why you want it. Here comes the how. your plan.
Having a plan is vital to your massive success. Without one, you work aimlessly toward nothing. Tough words to hear, however Looking at my own struggles it is very true. They’re many reasons for having a plan, But the main reason is to create the desired result for the world you live in. This separates the good from great. The talkers from the walkers. So what makes a good plan? you might ask. Well, let me tell you.
1. Obsession
obsession Is a strong emotion that is scary. Rapid and fanatical it is birthed from extreme passion and love. You have to be obsessed with your plan. Cause if your not it is not a plan. It is just a list of things to do. let us break it down. while it is important to have a goal and to write out the practical steps. You need a greater sense of purpose to have the plan succeed. In the anime, the main character Shiroe has a nickname “ The villain in glasses” Because of his cold and methodical approach to his plans. Anything he puts his mind to he is committed to seeing it through. Obsessed so much that you are willing to do anything to succeed. Cause it the plan isn’t about the result. it is about the process and what you get from that.
2. Longevity
A plan must be long-term. We have to be in it for the long haul cause that is going net the most success. Shiroe seeing Akihabara in the state he wants to help. Being home to over half of the players in the game and his own residents He knew something had to change. That is where it starts but not how it ends. Shiroe wanting to change his home environment is a lofty goal, yet so small to his grand scheme. Cause it is not about having a better living space. It is about building infrastructure in a world that has none. It starts small very minute, But it will get larger the more you invest in it. Things will happen that will be unexpected more than you can ever ask. Even then when you get these unexpected riches it is not by accident it is by design. Cause success is a bunch small victories culminated in one big payoff, but you have to play the long game and you have to have a vision. Which leads me to my last point.
3. Vision
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish.
This is the binder that puts these principles together. What does your world look like?the vision is the forward direction that all of our energy goes towards. There is no use spinning your wheel if you have no destination. A vision is a goal with a reason behind it. so simple right? In the anime, Shiroe wants to make Akihabara a better place for the people who live there. His reason is because he sees a flawed system in place and he knows he can make a better one. So it starts out as making a better living environment for himself but ends up creating a system and infrastructure so that everybody benefits. That how powerful vision is guys. People have told write your dreams down. But a dream is just a fantasy waiting to become a reality until you wake up and give sight to it.
So here is what I want you to do after reading this.
Sit down and think about the things that get you geeked.
Write it all down and choose one that has the most application. What can you do now?
Make a long term goal with whatever it is you chose.
Envision what comes when you achieve the goal. Then what comes after.
Repeat

New England Patriots: Playing while hurt.
Last night I saw one of the most Exhilarating games I’ve seen all season. A comeback from an unlikely source. Now I am not an avid football watcher or a Pats fan, but what I saw was an amazing show between two great teams. No matter who won that night I would still be writing this article. I’m just glad it was patriots. Cause living in a Patriots fan household makes it easier on me.
That being said the Atlanta Falcons should have won this one. Killing the new England Patriots for 2 quarters and a majority of the 3rd. The Falcons had an almost insurmountable lead of 28-3. They played Spectacularly capitalizing on almost every mistake the Patriots made. People thought it was an open and shut game. Their performance last night change that. The record of Falcons was 11-5 to the Patriots 14-2. All directions pointed the Patriots winning. Just not in they way they did. Atlanta falcons you pushed arguably the best team in the league to the limit. So if you are an Atlanta Falcons fan be proud of your team.
Now for a bit of backstory to how we got to the 34-28 OT result we got. Deflategate an event that caused New England Patriots to get punished for cheating. This lead to the 4-week suspension of Tom Brady. Here steps in Jimmy Garoppolo or what my family calls him Brady 2.0. While Brady being out did have its challenges. Some of those problems were mitigated having strong backup quarterbacks. The pieces were interchangeable as even when Jimmy was out the game the short passing scrambler Jacoby Brissett was there to pick up the slack. While taking some losses along the way the Pats kept fighting. Making the eventual return of Tom Brady all the sweeter. Fast forward and Brady is back. Being laid off people wondered if any rust would be on the Patriots franchise player. To all detractors dismay sadly no. Tom Brady slaughtered his debut as he had been playing the whole season. Motivated he took the reigns of his team and lead them to victory.
This set the stage for the game we all saw last night. History being created before our very eyes. These moments are rare and hard-earned. While a record of 14-2 might suggest it was easy for the patriots, But nothing in life is that simple. It is only when we are the brink of defeat and struggle is where we find our true nature. Something comes out of us during these times. We take hold of our lives with these two hands and force it to yield what we desire. An Through our sheer will and stubborn tenacity life yields. Whether you love the patriots or hate them. I implore you to take this lesson out that game. Never yield to life. Pray to god, have faith, and Captivate what you want out of life. You will struggle we all do, but that doesn't mean forever. Stand tall look toward your greatness and cry when you get there. Be champions
God bless and game on
James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.…

Log Horizon: A character study Shiroe’s Leadership
Hey, I’ve been watching Log Horizon and I just can’t get enough. Watching up to 14 episodes straight It is safe to say I love this anime. I highly recommend it. That being said It is not for everybody. It is not like they are going on some big adventure trying to Become number one on the leaderboard or chasing some magic item. While action-oriented It is not very action based like anime in its genre. Before I get to the meat of this Post let me try to best Summarize it for you.
Summary: The apocalypse an event where 100′s of thousands of players realize they are trapped in their favorite video game Elder Tale. Stuck in this situation it is up to them to adapt and try to make the most of this situation. Here comes in Shiroe a veteran player who’s strategy lead a team to greatness. While fearful Shiroe takes the challenge to create a livable world for himself and the players around him.
So now that we are the same page let me begin to gush over Shiroe for the rest of post and how some of his actions can help us in our everyday lives. Mostly how you yourself can take initiative in doing what you love.
1. Assess the Situation: Look at a problem you want to fix and take in every facet of the problem. A lot of see problems we want to fix at their surface value. We know we don’t like something, yet we don’t take the time to understand why. Which makes figuring out how even harder. In the anime Shiroe and a lot of his friends see a bunch things wrong with their current situation there. Taking in all this Information and understanding why the way this are he comes up with a plan.
To summarize you have to understand the question. In order to give the answer. Figure out why you want to do or have. once you really understand the real problem coming up with the answer will be easier. look at every facet of the game you want a play and don’t take any detail for granted. And while you're at it watch some Log Horizon. I highly recommend it got to say it will be well worth your time.
