{ 00:00 } “I’m feeling a lot better Star Nii-san. I don’t think I’ll be needing anymore rest for a while.”

A few months was more than enough rest for him. It took him a few moments before he was able to return the hug.

“I’ll make sure to let you know next time. Hopefully I won’t get sick suddenly next time.”

“Do I need to tuck you into bed and get you some medicine, Moon-san? I’d hate for your reunion to be cut short because you’re not feeling well!” 

Star smiled gently, helping both himself and Moon-san up from his tackle-hug. He’d just been so excited, he couldn’t contain himself in that moment. 

“But seriously, I’m glad you’re okay. When you plan on leaving for a while, just warn me okay? Then you won’t worry me too much.”

{ ∞ } “Well... I guess you can say I came down with a bad cold...” A nervous smile couldn’t help but make its way onto his face. He couldn’t give an actual reason for being gone.

“I’m just teasing, Ludger!” Chuckling, she nudges him lightly. “So where were you this time?”

Star Nii-san uses “hug”! It’s super effective!

“Well... I guess you could say I have gotten sick.”

The illness in question being disappearing-itus.

“Moon-chan~!” Star shouted, rushing past anything in his way and glomping his younger brother at top speed. “You certainly have been! It’s good to see you again; I thought you might have gotten hurt or sick!”

“What? Ten years wasn’t long enough, Ludger? Quit leaving me!”

{ 00:00 } “There’s other Ludgers out there and you’ve met them?” This was news to him. Star was literally the only other Ludger he knew besides himself. Taking that information in, it made plenty of sense that Star wanted to give him a nickname. It helped to separate everyone with nicknames to avoid any name confusion.

Though...

“Could you not add the “wittle” part? I’m not a kid you know...”

{ 00:00 } “So we light up the sky...?” It seemed Ludger had missed what the other was saying until they added that second bit. OH. Well that made a lot more sense! Stars were guiding lights and older siblings could be seen as those who lit the way for their younger siblings.

“Well that makes a lot of sense... But why bring this up so suddenly?” Especially without warning.

{ 00:00 } Ludger had honestly expected some kind of objection, some kind of response like “I’m an adult! I can take care of myself!” or “You don’t have to. I can do this oh my own!" But he was met with no such response, just complete acceptance. He couldn’t quite figure out why Elle was so accepting of it, maybe he would be able to figure it out later.

“He did...?” He couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of Rollo being a dad. It was a bit heartwarming to think his cat had found happiness... A piece of his old peaceful life still remained after all these years. Fortunately, this meant he wouldn’t have to be facing another grave. “I’d love to see him. I owe him an apology after all...” That and he owed everyone else one too.

She perked up at that comment. Getting to fight elite monsters with Ludger? This was something she never thought she would be able to do. Yeah, she was there years ago when they fought them, but yelling out hints to victory didn’t cut it. This time it was for real! Both of them together…they would be unstoppable. She didn’t even respond to him– she just wrapped herself around his arm excitedly. 

“Yeah, Rollo found him a little girlfriend a while back. I guess it was bound to happen considering how many cats are around the complex, but yeah!” Ah! Surely Ludger would love to see that Rollo is still around too. He definitely showed his age now, but surely the cat would remember…and Ludger would definitely be happy. “You know, Rollo is still around if you’d like to see him.”

{ 00:00 } Well this was definitely awkward. He wouldn’t blame the other for finding him strange or suspicious. Amnesia was a rare thing... And no sane person would be wandering blind without memories, it was just asking to run into trouble. Ludger wasn’t insane, but he was a bit desperate to find something that would trigger his lost memories.

Of course, he was now back at step one; being nowhere that he could recognize and lost.

“I appreciate it.” He needed any help he could get by this point. Spirits know how confused he’d be walking into a town not knowing what was there in his state, He was rather hopeful maybe someone there would recognize him, but that was being a little too hopeful. An inn would be good enough for right now.

      While there were less worries now over any accidents happening if they happened to go into battle, the other problem continued to remain; this time, Mikleo gave a squinted stare at the unknown man. There’s only so much that the water seraph could do to help, another issue, as the refusal to give out details put him on the ‘help a lost soul’ to ‘keep a watchful eye’ type of mood, but with the area dangerous Mikleo couldn’t deny acting as a guide to prevent further loss here.

      “You’re kinda not sure…” he repeated, wondering what to even say to such a thing. It’d be easy to say that the other lived locked up somewhere and didn’t know of the outside world, but surely even the name of Glenwood would have brought up something; so amnesia does sound the closest answer. Bad timing when lost in these cliffs or a great excuse. “Well, I’ll explain along the way then. At least in the village you can ask the villagers there for some help to get you back on your feet.”
