GRAMARYE HAS REACHED 20 FOLLOWERS!

Thank you, guys! To celebrate us hitting 20 followers, we’re going to have a little game - everyone that enters it will be put into a drawing to win early access to the Face Reservations prior to their opening next week! The Prompt

Over the past few days, Gramarye has been previewing the various species that will be available for play - humans, vampires, warlocks, and werewolves! The prompt goal is simple: A short story of a character within the world. The character doesn’t have to have a name or face, all you need do is write! Are they a warlock struggling with a cast or brew? A werewolf’s first turn? A human whose Sight just manifested and holy cow that dog is not a dog? The options are unlimited!

The prompt can be as short or long as you wish to make it. Post it up, tag @gramaryerp, along with #gramarye, #grayrpg, and #prompt event!

This event will close Sunday, June 17th@ 12:00 AM CST!

Gramarye is a semi-original supernatural roleplaying game based in present time, and in a real location. We are player-driven with occasional site events and plots - though our primary focus is upon your stories and where your characters take us. We are not aiming to be overtly complex or original. Gramarye is here for the fun of storytelling... And the occasional blip of drama thrown in to boot. The lore of Gramarye is loosely based on a few resources, including Mercy Thompson, Shadowhunters, and The Originals. For now, our available races to play are limited. Species Preview

Humans. They overpopulate a world they do not even know, and live with such an arrogant and blissful ignorance that they deny the idea of monsters being real. There isn't anything particularly special about them, save for their sheer tenacity and theoretical ability to "adapt". Yet do they truly adapt? There's some debate to that, considering despite repeated attempts at injecting the idea of monsters being real into their history and conscience, they're still in a deep... Deep case of denial. Silly little things.

FAST FACTS

Humans don't like to believe in fairy tales being potentially real, despite contemporary media among their younger generations being laden with "supernatural intrigue".

Though rare, there do exist some humans with the ability called the "Sight" - they are capable of seeing through Underworld guises and know the monsters exist.

The Sight is hereditary, and families with it know better than to try and reveal the Underworld at risk of being deemed mentally unstable.

There do, however, exist both "Hunter" families, vigilantes, and "Protector" sorts that go out of their way to help the Underworld. The two types don't tend to get along.

W A R L O C K S

Species Preview

Warlocks are a curious race of beings, often seen as an in-between of humans and the rest of the Underworld. They are mortal creatures, mostly human save for their "marks", and yet possess control of magic like no other. Others of the Underworld enjoy calling them half-breeds, though they are anything but - and a wise person would fear a Warlock that knows what they're doing.

FAST FACTS

Warlocks are mortal, though long-lived. They average a lifespan roughly three times that of a standard human - the oldest-known Warlock lived to about 350 years old supposedly.

Warlocks are the only known mortal creatures of the Underworld that can access and use magic, with a variety of abilities at their disposal.

There are two primary types of Warlocks - Casters and Brewers. Once in a blue moon, a warlock powerful enough to be both comes along, though they are rare and much envied.

The most common form of magic Casters use is battle magic; fire, electricity, force, poison, and earth-styled magic.

Brewers are natural herbalists or chefs - supposedly many of the Hell's Kitchen chefs in New York are actually warlocks. Who knew?

Never call a warlock a "witch". It's a slur, and might end in tragedy for you.
