Smite Shipping Thoughts
Just a small thought that popped into my head, Baldr and Hel in their own version of This is My Idea from The Swan Princess.
Gosh, dang it, if only I could draw! This would be awesome!

The Road To Hel: Prolouge
Admin: Please tell me what you think of this first part. I hope you enjoy it. This is my first time really writing anything “suggestive”. It’ll get more so as this goes on.
“I don’t normally do this.”
Sure, that’s what they all say. No one EVER does things like this, yet they seem to go with it so quickly. The raven-haired young woman smiled as she was taken into the apartment of the unwitting victim. “Of course not, I’m sure that a gentleman like yourself would be very unfamiliar with a one night stand.” She said with the slightest flirtation she could muster without coming on too strong.
“H-hey, let’s not call it that...!” The poor thing stuttered. Oh, this was too easy. She cupped his cheek in her hand before giving him a long slow kiss. “You’re right, I think this will lead to much more~” It was perfect timing, ready to move in for the kill.
/bzzt bzzt/
Dammit!
She rushed off to the bathroom to take her call privately. “You’re killing me here!” She hissed. The voice on the other end laughed. “Chill, Sis. We have another target for you.”
“I’m in the middle of finishing the last one!”
“This is a higher priority, it’s /his/ son.”
The young woman went pale. “I’ll be right out,” She ran to the exit, unfortunately, her prey spotted her. “Is something wrong?”
“Family business.” It wasn’t a complete lie, more of a half-truth, really.
Waiting for her in the car was her older brother, Jormungandr. She gave him a harsh glare as she sat in the passager seat. “There’s a reason Dad named you after a snake.”
“Oh, ha ha. Relax, Sis. I think you’ll like the newest target. Just make sure to take it slow, we want it to hit him hard.”
“That’s just how I like it.”

Man, I am getting way too into this.
Story Idea
I just wanted to run this one by you guys.
I’m thinking of making a mafia-equse story with our lovely Hel serving as a honeytrap, while her older brothers run the “family business”.
What you do think?

Hmm, I could actually use a few of Odin’s sons... Thor would prove to be an interesting target because he’s married and would probably be so done with Hel’s BS.
She would like a challenge.

Who Hel’s gonna seduce to get some information and a bit of revenge. It’s probably going to be a Human AU.

My Dilemma
I really want to write a mind control one shot with Angrboda and Hel. The only problem is that I feel like I would end up feeling like a horrible person for tormenting my muse in such a way.
Anyone have anything to say to soothe my soon to be guilty conscious?

Angst Time
In Norse Mythology, it’s not really clear what happens to Jutons after they die. Some think they basically crumble to dust.
Think about it like this:
After Ragnarok, Hel would have lost pretty much all of her remaining family.
Hel may be the Queen of the dead, but even she will never see her father or her brothers again.

Admin: It’s posts like this that really make me regret making my headcanon of Hel being infertile.
Does anyone else think about children for their SMITE pairings?
“No, we are not naming our child ‘Snowball,’ no matter how cute you think it might be,” - Skadi, barely conscious after a night of intense childbirth.

A Somewhat Messed Up Idea
We know that in Norse mythology there seems to be a spell for EVERYTHING. This lead me to come up with this possibly disturbing idea.
What if Angrboda was able to possess her daughter, using Hel’s body as a vessel? Even if she wasn’t able to completely possess her daughter, do you think it might be possible for her to even brainwash her youngest child?
Give a whole new meaning to over-controlling mother, doesn’t it?

And please, for the love of all that is holy, do NOT attempt to turn around and run away. Loki gains damage with hits to the back.
Learn from the mistakes of a Hel main. I’ve done this way too many times.
I want to free Loki from Hirez and the toxic players. uwu.
FREE HIM.

Question
I’ve been wanting to do some more theories and analysis on how I see Hel.
Do you guys have anything that you want me to take a look at or come up with? Anything is really appreciated.

Still Working On Hel
One thing I found out when I was doing research on Hel is that she is associated with greed. If I had to say how she can be greedy, it would be her being power hungry. The more I work with her, the more she seems to turn into Marvel’s Loki…..

A Small Hel Headcanon
I've been thinking about whether or not Hel has a crown (you know, since she's a queen and all) and came up with a few ideas.
1. She does have a crown but she doesn't ever wear it. This being because it was a gift from Odin and she doesn't want to accept any "gift" he offers.
2. She does have a crown but only wears it in her throne room or when making deals with the royals of the other realms. She wears it then to show her status of being Queen. (This one is my favorite.)

A Quick Hel Analysis
This is just going to be me talking a bit about how I see my version of Hel and how I portray her on my Wattpad account. I hope you enjoy and I most likely will be elaborating on this later. Let’s go!
It’s not a secret that I’m a Marvel and MCU fan and I would definitely be lying if I said that Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of Loki didn’t provide some of the inspiration behind how I view Hel. A trapped, disgruntled younger sibling who doesn’t seem to be particularly safe to be around and yet still manages to stab people in the back or make deals whenever it suits them. Hel has so much bitterness towards the Asier and that includes her own father. Her relationship with her family is incredibly strained, but most of the reason for that is out of her control.
I personally see her as the brains of the siblings. She’s smart and she knows it, she has a very good understanding of magic and psychology and can use that to her advantage. However, she doesn’t rely on the psychology as much as she relies on her magic. Personally, I see her magic as her own version of a shield. I’ve been doing some work on putting limits on how I think her magic works.
Here are my limitations for her powers: Practice, mental and emotional state and exhaustion. Basically, if she hasn’t practiced the spell often or if it’s just too advanced for her, it’s not going to end well. The same goes for if she is in an extreme emotional state, her spells are affected whether they become weaker or stronger because of it. Finally, if Hel exerts too much energy casting spells, she will basically go into a form of heat exhaustion. She sort of gives herself a fever as her internal increases. The reason I bring up her internal temperature is that a human’s internal temperature is affected by things like exercise. Normally, we’re able to regulate our internal temperature by sweating. As our sweat evaporates, we are cooled down. However, Jutons are very cold by nature. If Hel pushes herself too far, she can actually become dehydrated as her body goes crazy attempting to return to her (normally) low temperature, causing her to sweat a LOT, to the point where her core temperature could be affected, possibly even leading to a heat stroke.
For the sake of simplicity, let’s say that heat stroke is pretty much a death sentence for Jutons.

Norse Mythology Question
In Norse Mythology, the gods have to eat the magic apples of the goddess, Idun, in order to stay immortal. This leaves me with one simple question:
How in Helheim is Hel receiving those apples since she doesn’t really leave her kingdom and the gods don’t really visit her unless they want to strike a deal? Does that rule just not apply to her since she’s already half dead? Or is something else going on here?
