Narangi B&W Comic Chibi Style Experiment

Decided to draw something simple, to experiment without taking things too seriously. I drew Narangi in a chibi style, very different than my usual style, and I tried out the "G'MIC" plugin in Krita. Wow, does it create cool effects. I might utilize these effects if I start a comic strip (I probably won't keep the chibi style though; I like my usual "edgy" style the best).

Boboy Inspiration

Here is a collage of the characters, fictional or real, who I based my own character off of. Listed below are the similarities each character shares with mine. My own character is seen outlined in light blue in the center. Clockwise, starting at the upper-left: - R2D2 (Star Wars franchise - 1977-present): Witty, knows how to hack stuff - Courage the Cowardly Dog (Courage the Cowardly Dog - 1999-2002): Always vigilant of danger, and their creator lived in the middle of nowhere - ASIMO (Honda - 2000-present): Appears small and youthful - The Iron Giant (The Iron Giant - 1999): Very loyal to their friends - Wall-e (Wall-e - 2008): Doesn't talk much, saves a civilization - ROB (Nintendo - 1985): Loves video games and old machines, also the eyes - Logan 5 (Logan's Run - 1976): Dissenter who ends up saving an entire civilization and showing them the truth - Glitch (Metal Arms: Glitch in the System - 2003): Looks cute, but could totally destroy you

These are scenes I made in November 2023 that would've been part of a music video had I finished them. They were part of a school assignment: create 3 animation projects and create a pitch bible for each one, then choose 1 of them to finish completely. I decided to choose another animation over this one because I felt like my teacher wouldn't understand the appeal of older graphics like I do. My current plan for Boboy doesn't involve these scenes, but maybe I'll find a way to include them, who knows. I also finished a rough storyboard for that project, check it out here. More unused content may be coming soon, I have a fair amount of it ready to post.
