Story Description:    When Ryder ignored Lexi's email suggesting that he take up a stress relieving hobby, she took matters into her own hands to make it clear that it wasn't actually a suggestion. Which is how he found himself learning to knit.    Knitting; he'd be a laughing stock if anyone found out. So he decided that he'd do it long enough to keep Lexi off his back and then forget all about it. It's not as though it would actually help his apparent ‘stress levels’ and he definitely wasn't going to enjoy it. That would be ridiculous.

Summary: Centuries ago, Drake was betrayed by a handful of his own people who killed his betrothed and then imprisoned Drake in a magically sealed tomb. Now he has been freed only to discover that vampires have become greed ridden shadows of their former selves and who actually believed that he'd chosen to sleep voluntarily. Worse still, they initiated a war with the werewolves - in his name, no less - and hunted his former allies and friends to near extinction. Biding his time in order to learn more about this new world before taking his rightful position as the Vampire King, Drake discovers that not all the remaining werewolves had gone into hiding. One had joined a group of human hunters and brazenly used his abilities in the open as he hunted all the vampires he could find. As soon as they met, Drake knew that he had to make the wolf his but would Hannibal King give in to their mutual attraction as they worked together to bring about the downfall of these modern vampires?

The brilliant header was made by sandrasfisher and check out the breathtaking drawing in the fic that was done by the lovely Reminicious <3 <3 <3 This story starts just after 'Thor' but is mainly set in between 'The Avengers' and 'Captain America Winter Soldier'. I've moved all the locations in CAWS to New York so that it ties in with the end of The Avengers; that includes the Barton's farm being in some kind of rural area outside NYC. Written for marvel-bang 2018. Summary: When he got back from New Mexico, Clint was given the incredibly boring task of watching the newly defrosted Captain America adjust to modern life. He didn't expect it to lead to a misunderstanding, an impromptu make-out session and a blown mission. But that's alright because he was unlikely to run into Steve Rogers again. Right?

There are no mutant powers and I have made Warren more like the Warren from the early X-Men comics than the Warren from X-Men Last Stand - but who knows how movie!Warren would have turned out if he didn't have to hide who he was all his life ;) Written for marvel-bang 2017. The story contains sex, swearing, violence, homophobia and gay slurs, suicide, mentions of past child abuse (non-sexual), and a major character death early on. But it has a happy ending, I swear. Summary: Eight people from across the world share a disturbing dream of a woman killing herself and then discover that they have become mentally and emotionally linked. For Bobby Drake and John Allerdyce, suddenly finding themselves as part of a cluster of Sensates is made even more complicated by their instant attraction to each other despite never having met in person. Throw in a couple of older Sensates who show up to help them and a man called Stryker hunting them all down and their already troublesome lives have taken a definite turn to the weird and dangerous.

We Are Spiraling on the Breeze

Title: We Are Spiraling on the Breeze Author name: glitterfics Beta name: Jaki Smith Characters/Pairing: Bobby Drake/John Allerdyce Fandom/Universe: X-Men Movieverse Rating: NC-17 Word count: 40,500 Content Notes/Warnings: This is an alternate take on X2, diverging after the school is attacked. I have also aged down the Cuckoos, aged up Jones a little and I've lengthened the amount of time between Xavier and Cyclops being captured at the prison and Magneto escaping. Thank you to my gorgeous beta, Jaki. And also, thank you for the brilliant art lazydazyfics Over here and sandrasfisher <3 <3 The story contains ex, some swearing, violence (one graphic bit), torture (mostly canon-level and 'off camera'), dubious medical practices, mentions of past child abuse (non-sexual), some PTSD and some Rogue and general X-Men-bashing. Summary: What would happen if Bobby hadn't been in the kitchen with Logan when Xavier's school was attacked? What if he'd been hanging out with John instead? That one small shift meant that John and Bobby were captured by Stryker's men along with the small group of other students. From there everything in John's life changed as he discovered just what he was capable of and he found himself becoming the type of person that he'd never have believed he could be.

Dear Author of the Week, You think fanfic is a personal affront to the many hours you’ve spent carefully crafting your characters. You think fanfic is “immoral and illegal.” You think fanfiction is just plagiarism. You think fanfiction is cheating. You think fanfic is for people who are too stupid/lazy/unimaginative to write stories of their own. You think there are exceptions for people who write published derivative works as part of a brand or franchise, because they’re clearly only doing it because they have to. You’re personally traumatized by the idea that someone else could look at your characters and decide that you did it wrong and they need to fix it/add original characters to your universe/send your characters to the moon/Japan/their hometown. You think all fanfic is basically porn. You’re revolted by the very idea that fic writers think what they do is legitimate. We get it.  Congratulations! You’ve just summarily dismissed as criminal, immoral, and unimaginative each of the following Pulitzer Prize-winning writers and works:

Title: Nathan Stark's Town for Peculiar People Fandom: Eureka Pairings: Jack/Nathan Rating: NC17 Wordcount: 35,000 Notes/Warnings: This is a fusion with 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' by Ransom Riggs. Also contains sex, canon style violence, monsters, child in danger, humour and geekiness. It really compliments the fic <3 Summary: Jack Carter and his daughter Zoe experience a pretty disastrous start to their road trip vacation when they get completely lost out in the middle of nowhere and then crash the car. They seek refuge in the nearby town of Eureka and discover a whole new world of 'peculiars' - people with extraordinary gifts, hiding from the rest of the world and, more importantly, from the monsters that hunt them. Of course, it's just Jack's luck that the monsters chose that moment to find them and he gets dragged into the town's fight for their lives, discovering his own gift along the way as well as having to cope with his intense reaction's to Eureka's stupidly handsome mayor.

Summary: After the events of Death of the Family, Jason finds that his anger towards Bruce is finally fading for good. But in it's absence something else is happening. Dreams he's knows are important but can't remember, seeing things other people can't and a magical sword he can apparently make appear out of nowhere. He has to return to Gotham to figure out what's happening and, of course, the family get involved. Dick makes it his personal mission to help Jason which leads to a whole other set of problems as they grow closer.

Contains sexual content, heat/mating, knotting, so much science that I've probably got completely wrong, violence, humour and geekiness. Summary: Jack had heard of the Butterfly Effect, but he had no idea that their actions could have changed things quite so much. Now they had to try and fit into a new world where their very physiology set them apart.
