There's no perfect time for anything but you have to make decisions anyway.

Self-care is important. For some people, self-care may mean a massage. For others, maybe is getting your hair done. For me, it's buying myself nice things. This may come easy to some but it's extremely difficult for me due to past traumas.

I'm trying to do better, though. It's easy for me to buy for others. So much so, that I forget to buy for myself and then am suddenly left wondering why I don't have nice things. I've been told that I'm too selfless, put others forward, and don't think of myself enough. I've also been told that I'm way too hard on myself and should be nicer to myself and treat myself better.

This is me trying. Really trying. I love these earrings. All of them. After the earrings, I also bought nice clothes. Things outside of the usual jeans and t-shirts that I wear. I stepped outside my comfort zone and bought 2 dresses and a jumpsuit. This is not the "me" I know but I like what I saw when I tried them on and I'm trying.

Where do we go from here?

I’m not new to Tumblr but this is a new profile. I’m not sure what I plan to do with it, where it will go, or what it will evolve to but I needed an outlet. An outlet that’s not Twitter or Facebook. I like the flexibility of Tumblr and the creativity it offers. I hope to be able to do more with it in this new start.
