This is a reminder to:

Never mention a possible pregnancy/abortion to anyone, especially not through a social media app messaging service such as messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Snapchat, etc.

Delete all period tracking apps and to start tracking using a planner or physical calendar

Book appointments for a form of birth control if possible, or to always carry condoms for yourself and other

Look into sterilization options if that is the route you want to go down (here is a list of 1000 doctors willing to sterilize you without a fight)

Protect your fellow person, protect the women in your life, the queer people, the disabled people, everyone will be affected by this

Form communities. Tell your people that you love them. Protect one another. Check in on one another. None of us are alone.

A bit different than my usual posts, but to the Americans (or anyone else that was worried about the election results). How are you guys feeling? Are you safe where you are? Please use this this post to vent to your hearts content because Gods know we need to vent every now and again.

I know that it feels incredibly hopeless, especially for the woman, POC, and LGBTQ+, but please don't end it all here. The poll results aren't the end of all your hope, even if it feels like it, even if it hurts. You did your part, and everyone is proud of you. I see you. You will get through this. You still have a future ahead of you. The country might have a lot of control over your lives, but you, the people, are not the country. Take a step away for a moment and breathe, but no matter what happens, live.

no matter the outcome of this election: organize, build local community, build strength in masses. elections aren't the only time politics happen, it also happens on the streets, in the community and by mutually supporting each other.

the way forward is together. we build power from the ground up. in the US and everywhere else in the world.

a better world is possible and we can start building it now, by ourselves. anarchism starts in the now.

Guys....I see people throwing in the towel because of the news tonight but I'd like to give everyone a little friendly reminder:

Just keep calm and relax please....

*grits teeth* im hopeful i believe there is good in the world im fucking hopeful

friendly reminder that “im worried about the election results because of the drastic impacts it will have not only worldwide, but also in my personal life”

and

“i should step offline and stop actively thinking about the election, because doomscrolling and worrying over the results will not change them, and instead will only cause me further pain and stress”

are two statements that CAN and SHOULD coexist.

i know that today is very stressful for everyone, both americans and non-americans (like myself), but worrying will NOT do any good. take care of yourself first and foremost. we can and will deal with the consequences of the election when the results are out.

step offline. get some water and a snack. watch a TV you like, or play a video game, or read a book. talk to someone you love. this is not going to be the end of the world. we cannot let this be the end of the world.
