genuine question: if not a single one of the season 6 writers was getting a little bit queer about ron and carl's dynamic, then why include that shot of them holding hands? it's so weirdly poetic. the first time it pans down, it almost looks like a reference to the creation of adam. carl can't quite get ron to trust (?) him. then, the camera focuses on ron's expression, reluctant but still giving in. and then -- the camera on their hands as ron takes carl's.

do they expect me to believe that wasn't meant to be read romantically when in the very next episode (6x10), there's a suspiciously similar shot of rick/michonne holding hands...? when in 7x05, they do the same thing with carl and enid? okay. sure whatever

the five stages of grief: writer's edition

denial: "this draft is amazing. no need for edits. it’s practically perfect as is." you’re so confident that you close the document for the day, smiling like you’ve just discovered the next great american novel (or swedish, or british, whatever). plot hole? who is she?

anger: "why did i ever think this was good? this is garbage. i am garbage. my characters are flat, my dialogue is cringe, and my prose sounds like a robot swallowed a thesaurus and threw up on the page." rage-quit the doc and go aggressively scroll pinterest for "writing inspiration" that you will never use.

bargaining: "if i fix this one scene, the whole thing will click into place. i just need to write one more subplot, maybe five more chapters, a quick rewrite of the entire ending, and then it'll be fine. totally manageable." queue up 17 youtube videos on "how to fix your plot" that you play in the background while staring at your ceiling.

depression: "i will never finish this book. it’s doomed. i’m doomed. why do i even write? who let me have ideas?!" lay dramatically on your bed, considering taking up knitting or rock collecting instead. cry a little over how your characters deserve a better writer.

acceptance: "this is the best i can do right now, and that’s okay. i’ll take a break, come back with fresh eyes, and remember why i love this stupid, broken story." suddenly, your MC whispers something brilliant, and you're like wait… maybe i'm a genius after all.

and the cycle begins again. writing is a joy.

Hello! I am "Vin", as I and many of my friends affectionately call me. Recently, I've started wanting to actually use Tumblr more than I've done so these past few years, and I figured I'd start with an introduction to put myself out there :D

*clears throat* I'm just a boy in the village doing alright, but I became a princess overnight— jk jk lol.

I'm 18 years old, hailing from the hellishly hot archipelago of the Philippines. My pronouns are he/him, and I'm bisexual.

I'm a writer, although the title is very loose. I guess it's more fitting to call myself an aspiring writer more than anything. Nevertheless, I love writing and would love to write more, if I have time. And yes I am a yapper — hence the name, duh. But I digress.
