Going Vegan

People often say, vegans are too extreme, they just go too far, they're overreacting. People say it's natural that humans eat animals, that we need it. Is this natural? Does that seem right to you? Animals feel pain just the way we do. They feel danger even more than we can. Arguments like: The lion eats and kills other animals too, doesn't justify what you pay people every day to do. No one kills the way humans do it, and that without any reason. Name a single human being who couldn't survive because of living without "what we needs". This happens everywhere at any time of the day. You may think you live in a country, where animals are killed painlessly? fast? without being terrified and scared? It's what people want you to think, it's what they sell you to believe. Let me ask you one question. Why would no slaughterhouse want to have windows or surveillance cameras? Why would no slaughterhouse want you to look at the inside of this warzone? Wake up. Grow up. And get the fuck over the fact that you CAN live without "what you need" I can do it. So can you.

I firmly believe in checking in with at least one person a day. Just by saying “ Hey, how’re you doing!” with a smile, can be the kindest and most comforting thing a person experiences all day. Being genuinely curious about someone’s life makes them feel so important and cared for, even if you’re a stranger. If you see someone looking like things are tough or just thinking they could use a friend(-ly gesture), please reach out. Not only will they remember it for a long time, it could honestly save their life just having someone to talk to - even for a short while. You may be the single person in a long time who’s made the effort to ask if they were doing okay. They will live off the kind energy, and most likely will pass it on to someone else who may need it as well. :) I hope anyone who’s reading this is having a wonderful day, and even if today’s not the best I am certainly proud of you for getting through it anyways <3
