18.11.19 || day 2/100 of productivity
I sense a bit of a colour theme here...
I’m ill so I took the day off to just sleep and drink tea. Sleeping so much in the day seems to have messed up my sleep schedule a bit, but I’ll try and make the most of feeling awake now by doing some prep for tomorrow

THIS. LITERALLY THIS.
is anyone else just curious? like you want to read about fashion and history and food and culture. you want to read romance and action and fantasy and mythology. you want to play the guitar and sew and cook and draw and write and read. you want to do so much more and learn about so many other things. but you get tied down by work or school and you just... can’t. that book is lying on your bedside table and yet when you’re tired you choose netflix over charles dickens. is it just me who is curious about everything but won’t do anything about it?

31.10.2019 || day 3/100
Happy Halloween! I haven’t been as productive today as I would have liked, but I’m trying not to be too hard on myself about it.
We’ve reached the dreaded uni applications time of the year again, so I’m trying to re-write my personal statement, which, if anything, is proving harder than writing the original personal statement! I’ve realised I’m not really sure who I am anymore, but slowly and surely I’m trying to figure it out.
Have any of you guys experienced this and have any tips/advice?
Nels xx

28.10.19 || day 1/100
Very slowly and steadily catching up with the work I need to do!
It definitely helps being in a place so idyllic I’ve gotta say 😍

So obviously in true studyblr fashion, I’m going to make a plan for how to get my sh*t together
I’m going to split it into two halves:
Health / wellbeing
Uni
Aight so first and foremost something I need to fix is
1. My sleep schedule
Okay let me preface this by saying I’ve never really been one for early nights. As a kid I’d read under the covers until the early hours, and I probably haven’t been to bed before 1am for the last 4 years.
But things have kinda gone to a wholeee new level.
At the moment I’m going to bed between 2am and 3:30am, then getting up at 6:30am - 7am for full 7 - 12 hour days of dance, acting and singing. And then because I’m so tired I’ll have a nap mid afternoon and literally forget what day it is!
I KNOW I need even more sleep than I’ve ever gotten before, but I swear l literally blink and it goes from 10pm to 2am !!!
So...
2. Basic daily shizzle
Secondly, is the basic daily shizzle like personal hygiene. Hear me out but when you sleep through your 5 trillion alarms and have approximately 10 minutes until you need to be in class, sometimes showering, brushing your teeth and washing your hair can take a back bench....
Well no longer motherforkers!!!
Honestly this should hopefully be fixed by just actually sleeping and waking up on time.
3. Following recommended medical advice
I have a few new things I need to be doing for my eyes and knees that I need to get used to putting in my routine!
I also have a little tick list of medical admin I need to do:
Call GP back to make welcome appointment
Register with dentist
Send off health insurance form to get money back on my physio
4. Eating properly and drinking enough water
My eating isn’t the worst in the world, it’s just that when I nap, I get really confused with what time it is, and sometimes I nap straight though regular meal times and just aren’t hungry any more!
Also, if I forget to meal plan and do a grocery shop, my food options can get a tad limited, and there’s only so many times you can have cereal for dinner
Hydration is also a big one!!! I am 100% not drinking enough water, so I’m going to try and always have my water bottle filled and near me.
So now we’re onto uni things!
I’m just going to make a list for these general things
Set aside 20 mins every morning and night to stretch
When I get in from uni, unpack my bag to allow shoes to air, write down any homework given that day, then do 20 mins singing practice
Make sure all homework tasks are completed at least 3 days before the deadline
Put oboe practice into timetable 3 x a week
Then there are a few things I neeeed to just sit down and do ASAP:
Research into and select colleges to apply for next year
Find out how to apply to each place and what the audition requirements are
Write my personal statement
Break portfolio into manageable chunks, and actually start writing it
If you’ve made it this far then good on you!!
I’ll keep updating y’all with how this goes!!!
Peace and love,
Nels xx

Hi guys!!!
It’s been a phat whileee since I was last on here so here’s a little update!
Finished my a levels
Got decent results
Moved out
Started drama school (!!!)
At the moment we’re on our reading week, and basically I’ve been having a bit of a tough time, and not really taking care of myself, so I’m going to try my absolute best to use the remaining week and a bit to get back on my feet!
As always my immediate response to being stressed and overwhelmed seems to be tumblr so here we are folks 😂
Feel free to follow along as I try to get my sh*t together 😅💪

The ABCDE Method: Accomplish Tasks more Efficiently
I recently came across the ABCDE method that’s similar to what I do to stay productive each day: instead of lumping up all your tasks, sort them into categories and tackle each of them differently. Here’s an outline of the method. Hope it helps :)

life works out. i cannot stress this enough. life always works out. it always turns out in your favor even if it doesn’t go according to the original plan. you may be utterly confused and lost right now, it may feel like everything is falling apart and there is nothing you can do to salvage any of it. but believe me when i say that this is just a transition period. things are constantly changing and evolving around you even if you can’t actively see that. life is changing you to prepare you for what is to come. you are growing and as you grow you are being built into the person that you are going to be. because see, life always has this funny way of working out.

03.06.19 - monday
during exams i used to get really stressed out about not having enough time to study between, so i designed myself a lil study planner that maps out my week
it has a section for events, a checklist, and a time tracker so i can tell myself to stop freaking out :) if anyone wants the pdf, lemme know!
