people think political staffers don't listen to their voicemails and read the emails that they send to their elected officials, and let me assure you that we absolutely do. we just don't always respond to them immediately (or at all) for a variety of reasons. a not-insignificant part of my job is just attempting to clear the never-cleared email inbox throughout the day

that said, form emails (where you just attach your name to a pre-written email, usually on a 'take action' webpage that sends it for you)? stop sending those, for the love of god. we all write email rules and send those directly to a 'form email' folder and the only thing we note after getting the first one is 'constituent/non-constituent supports/opposes this bill or nomination'. Please send something that indicates you are an actual human being with a real opinion, I am begging you all

I loved Taylor’s run. Were there things I didn’t like? Sure. But that’s with every run. (I started reading Nightwing with Chuck at the age of 10. There was a bunch of issue readers suffered through with 1996 run.)

But I loved the character dynamics, and I felt some of the run - like the fight with Blockbuster - was trying to fix the crap that went down in the 1996 run. I liked that, actually. It worked for me, and I’m sad that it’s over.

I can totally understand why people don't like Taylor's run, but, honestly? I love it so much.

I especially like the relationship between the batfamily (more of Bruce and Dick).

I don't know if you are aware of the weight that that phrase has, not only the confidence Bruce has in Dick's judgment, but the absolute love he feels for him is also there, implicit in the phrase.

when i went to alaska last summer, at all the parks and nature reserves and stuff there they of course had safety warnings about the wildlife.

for bears, the safety warnings were like, make noise, wave your arms, talk in a normal speaking voice, stay calm, don’t run, wait for the bear to move on which it will do 99% of the time, and you will be ok! 👍
