Hello there! So I’ve been quite quiet for sometime now, I had to reinstall sims 3, so I thought it’s a great opportunity to reorganize my mods folder, and optimize the list of my worlds and the mods I use. Then I was looking through my legacy challenge, and I’ve found ways to further improve performance, found some bad mods and swapped them for working/less performance heavy ones, and also been kind of revising the whole thing.
How far I’ve come so far, and what will change in V2:
- First of all, I’ll scrap the original version, and will stick to the tiny world version, to greatly improve performance, reduce the number of sims in the world and improve overall quality of gameplay.
- In the next version, the legacy challenges won’t be numbered, but rather named after the continent/location where they are set in.
- I’ve been searching high and low for new worlds, to include a new legacy challenge based in the Asian regions, and I think I’ve got the perfect list,!
- I’ve been looking for lighting mods, to fit each location, I will also link these as well to each legacy challenge. This might have been the hardest part, searching for real life pictures of sunsets, sunrises, and daytime skies, so I can suggest you the perfect lighting mod for each legacy challenge, which fits in colours, vibe, and overall atmosphere.
- After a really long time of listening to a ton of music replacement mods, I think I’ve found the best music replacement for each era.
- I’ve found new fun ways to play, like running your own shop, being a tomb raider, or doing some interesting new active careers.
- I’ve also found some new beautiful worlds to incorporate into the existing legacy challenges, and swapped some worlds to better performing ones.
- I’ll also include some gameplay tips for you, to make your game more immersive, and will suggest you some of my favourite simmers, who have useful guides and tips to make your gameplay experience the best possible.
For the time being, until the new version will be made public, both older versions will be made unavailable, as I want to provide the best possible way for you to play Sims 3!
Stay tuned, I’m very close to completion now!

If you’re a modder, content creator, world builder, or just a simmer in general, this is just an appreciation post speaking in the name of the houndreds of silent simmers that it’s great to still have you here, after a decade or more! Don’t be put off by negative people, if you still enjoy sims 1, 2, 3 or 4 to this day, with mods or without, you’re an awesome person❣️

Careers
I strongly recommend using either Zerbu’s Ultimate Careers, or Sonya’s Updated Version, it makes the game way more fun if you can follow your sims to work and/or school. You can also link custom careers to existing ones, so those custom careers use the original's Master Object List (use This list, if you use Sonya's version)
You will also need quite a lot of fun custom careers, the list is as follows:
- Missyhissy's Job Center: comedy, football, factory, airline, toy maker, mechanic, marine biologist, basketball, bartender, envrionmental scientist, dancer, modeling, mage guild, museum curator, local council Marine Biologist Professor Hunter Butcher Monarch Juidical Cowboy Forager Social influencer Boxer Doggie daycare Navy officer Engineer
For the Comedian career to have a Career Object, and for sims to be able to Pefrorm Stand-Up Comedy, and here's a Punching Bag for the Boxer Career
