Something I find funny about their “anniversary” (idk what else to call it) is in December when they were like publicly simping before they even met like obviously only *they* know what happened (and if they wanna keep it that way then obviously they should it’s their decision) but there’s no way they weren’t having esex by like. sure! i used hobonichi rulers, which measure in centimeters. this is height x width:

i made a twitter thread of photocard info and thought i should share here too so here you go!!

this all started because i realized different shinies had different patterns on them and then @subwaymademecry pointed out some photos seem to always be shiny, so we did some investigation and here’s what we figured out:

general photocard info: there are 55 cards available to collect (ty @iiworldtour for the graphic!). there are vip card packages that come in the vip merch bag that guarantee one shiny, and regular packages available for purchase that don’t guarantee a shiny. the regular card backs are dark blue:

shinies: so the “guaranteed shiny” in the vip photocard pack can be one of 10 photocards! these particular photos/poses will always be shiny & there’s not a shiny version of every card (ex: dan’s butt will never be shiny and rawr hoodies will always be a shiny card)

let’s break these 10 shinies down into categories:

- 6/10 of these cards are holographic

- 3/10 of these cards are chrome

- 1/10 is the golden pig

all of the shiny cards have a special back on them! holographics are light blue, chromes are silver (reflect rainbow) & pig is gold ofc!

i believe that everything above is true for all existing photocards no matter what country they were manufactured in! as we know, there’s different packaging/dimensions for the eu & us cards we’ve seen. we also believe that the coating on the holographic cards is different!

european photocards: all of the holographic cards in the eu seem to have the same pattern reflected back! it’s got this sparkle/star shape to it and should be on the front & back of every holographic card!

USA/CA: in us/ca, we’ve determined that every holographic card has its own unique coating to it (some of these coatings are only visible or easier to see by taking a flash photo or holding to light!)

subway coined terms for each type of holographic coating so let’s look at each of them!

• starting with the solo phil holographic: his coating reflects a heart holo pattern!

• next up is cowboy dan and he has a small dots holo pattern!

thanks to @underthisweather, i now have two TIT europe photocards! i saw some discussion of the difference between the US/europe photocards after TIT NYC, so here’s some details i noticed

(US cards are from oakland and europe cards are from late in the initial set of europe dates)

(apologies that they’re not perfectly aligned, they’re very slippery)

the US photocards are smaller! i layered a US dan-in-phil’s-jacket card on top of the europe phil-in-his-jacket card and there’s a visible difference

the US photocards have more rounded corners than the europe ones

the europe cards are more matte and the US cards are shinier!

the US cards look more pigmented/colorful than the europe cards (but the color looks more accurate to me in the europe cards/overdone in the US cards, ymmv).

the backs are different too!

the europe cards have the same matte texture as the front

the US cards have a rougher texture than their front and a rainbow kind of shine even for the regular cards

i don’t have any europe shinies to compare to my US ones (and i don’t have holos of any kind), so if anyone could make those comparisons, i’d be interested to see!

Bunk sharing 👀

He’s not homesick, exactly, for Dan, who’s hardly ever more than a few feet from him, and the discomfort of the thin bunk mattress doesn’t matter if he passes out four minutes after his head touches the pillow. But he’s homesick for the intersection of their sleeping bodies, the running dialogue between them that never ends even when it lapses into whispers and wordlessness.

He senses Dan’s movement across the aisle in the part of his brain that keeps tabs on these things, guesses over the roar of the bus that he can hear the toilet door, shifts on his pillow to peer out around the curtain. A minute later, Dan’s coming back on his unfairly steady bus legs, the white of his AirPods bright against the darkness.

Phil doesn’t say anything; Dan won’t hear. He puts a hand out into the aisle and watches Dan startle, imagines some expression on his face that he can’t see through the dark and the blur of the world without his glasses.

Dan comes closer, when Phil folds his hand back inside the bunk. He sinks down on the balls of his feet to bring his face in line with Phil’s and takes one of his AirPods out, an eyebrow up, a question. Phil taps his hand, and Dan relinquishes the AirPod and lets Phil struggle to figure out which ear it goes into. It’s something boring, classical, a single piano. Dan blinks at him, his hand out, and Phil blinks back and doesn’t return it.

“Fine,” Dan says, in the whisper of a word so faint it barely has shape. He kisses Phil, light, on the mouth, and disappears into his own bunk. Phil rolls over and curls into the shape of Dan’s playlist and falls asleep four minutes after.
