Italian composer Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1751) had a sense of originality and unique approach to his compositions, making him one of the stalwarts of the Baroque era!

"Beautiful Dreamer" by Stephen Foster, arranged for Level 4 (intermediate) piano by Mizue Murakami. Its sheet music available from Galaxy Music Notes. (Also the arrangements of other levels for "Beautiful Dreamer" available). “Beautiful Dreamer" is an old folk song written by an American composer & lyricist, Stephen Foster. It is considered to be the last published work of his. It has a beautiful calm melody, and it seems that he wrote it for remembrance of his close sister.

Music pieces are all songs even without words

I call all piano solo music pieces at Galaxy Music Notes, "songs." Oftentimes, people say that these are not "songs" because they are instrumental and that there are no lyrics or singing in them. Well, I disagree. Every musical piece comes from (or I should say "should suppose to come from") your heart, soul, body, and your precious breath. It should be your musical voice even if there are no words. The music itself without words expresses so much, tells stories, and triggers all kinds of emotions by singing through the musical instruments. So, I'm going to continue calling them "songs."

"Canon in D" by a German composer, Johann Pachelbel from the Baroque era, arranged for Level 5 (advanced) piano solo by Mizue Murakami. Its sheet music available from Galaxy Music Notes. This arrangement is written in the original key of D major. (The arrangements for other levels also available). "Canon in D" is very popular for occasions such as weddings, Christmas, & winter holidays. Pachelbel wrote this music originally for a string ensemble. But here in this arrangement, it is piano solo.

Remembering the Underrated Austrian Maestro, Gustav Mahler

Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) was an Austrian composer well-remembered for his orchestral pieces and symphonies.

Due to traditional limits during the late Romantic era, though he was well-respected as a conductor and did enjoy periods of success and acclaim, he didn’t receive his deserving appreciation until long after his passing due public’s inability to fully understand his work.

But that didn't stop this underrated musician from producing unique pieces which today is considered to be worthy precursor of the 20th-century musical styles, inspiring the likes of Benjamin Britten and Arnold Schoenberg.
