VERY easy to watch MiB3. And come away with the realization that there was a very high possibility of K spending the whole movie thinking that he and J were an item in the future.

I’ve just watched all the Men in Black films back-to-back and I need to say something. The majority of Jay/Kay fanfiction seems to involve Josh Brolin instead of Tommy Lee Jones. This is cowardice. Smith and Jones have such good chemistry and in MiB 3 seem five seconds away from crying every time they look at each other. To use the colloquial vernacular, he should have fucked that old man.

You are faced with some random problem and the only person who can help you is the main character from the last piece of media you consumed (you can also do favorite character if there are multiple main characters). You can stay in this universe or be in the universe of the character, whichever you prefer, but the problem remains the same and the only person who can directly help you is the main character. That character can call on the help of those they know in their media, but when it comes down to it, they are the only person really helping you. How do you react to this situation?
Spin to find out your problem:

Idea: Clark decides to eschew his powers at a young age, preferring to try and live his life as a normal human reporter. He somehow ends up dating Bruce (who is still Batman).
Shenanigans ensue, including:
Clark isn't actually that good at pretending not to have superpowers.
Bruce realizes that something isn't quite right about this guy he's seeing. "Actually an alien" is nowhere on his list of theories.
Clark gets kidnapped. Bruce angsts about how his poor normal civilian boyfriend is in danger and it's all his fault.
Meanwhile, Clark is weighing the pros and cons of busting himself out.
Bruce gets himself into serious trouble and Clark has to come save him.
#if anyone is aware of any fics like this PLEASE hit me up the dramatic irony would go crazy#im not confident in my ability to write superbat or else id do it myself#superbat#batman#superman

I personally think it's funny to believe Brigette recieved the wrong sperm donor during atificial insemination or IVF due to a series of Murphy's law-related shenanigans (a la Jane the Virgin). They weren't quite sure how to explain it to Sara, so they made up the thing about Murphy's law being gender-locked.
So personally I think Sara Murphy is adopted. Either that or Milo’s mom’s biological child from a previous marriage or donor or smth idk it doesn’t really matter I just think the ‘only male children have Murphy’s Law’ thing is stupid for a number of reasons

Clark Kent probably has a Pulitzer Prize
...or he shares one, at least.
Let me get on my high horse for a second.
Obviously, yes, Lois has a Pulitzer Prize. She is referred to as a "Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter". However, many may not realize that there are several kinds of Pulitzers; just as you can win an Oscar for Best Actor or Best Cinematography, you can also win a Pulitzer for International Reporting or Drama. In 2024, 23 were awarded in different categories, with several that have become defunct over time (Telegraphic Reporting, anyone?).
Lois's Pulitzer is likely for Investigative Reporting, although, oddly, ahead of Superman Returns, she was given one for an editorial, and therefore Editorial Writing.
(This is the only thing I can find detailing what in specific Lois won her Pulitzer for. I haven't read all the comics though, so if anyone has more information I'd love to hear it.)
Regardless, these are typically solo prizes, awarded to one person or a small team of people. This is a major honor, especially for somebody as early in her career as Lois is implied to be— I definitely don't mean to diminish this achievement.
However, there are several other prizes often awarded to entire newsrooms. These can give many of the people that worked on it the honor of 'having won' a Pulitzer Prize. I mean, if a soccer team wins an Olympic medal, each individual player also counts as an Olympic medalist!
The one that comes to mind as being particularly likely for the Daily Planet is the award for Breaking News Reporting. The New York Times staff, a major modern inspiration for the Planet, has won three. You can't tell me that Metropolis, one of the biggest cities in the DC universe, a city ravaged by breaking news, hasn't won a single one during Superman's tenure.
(In a world with superheroes, it does come to mind that there'd be a lot more competition for the prize— maybe they would even have a separate one for superhero-related events? Although given how much heroes like Superman do, I'm not sure where they'd draw the line.)
I'm not quite sure what the purpose of me writing this out is. I could claim it's some high-minded effort to inform Superman fans of what the Pulitzer Prize actually entails so they can better understand journalism. But I can't say that I didn't just want an excuse to rant :)
#dc comics#dc comics meta#superman#superman meta#lois lane#mine#i come from a journalism family so i think about this a lot lol#weve got a few family friends who won solo pulitzers and then my mama has shared a couple :)#ive edited this a couple times lol even after people have reblogged this bc i cannot be satisfied with my writing

Ok I know most people are taking Bill's "I'm a preteen" line as a joke (and for good reason) but like. It is kind of fun to recontextualize his actions as that of a tween with no supervision, too much power, and an extensive trauma history.
