「 ✟ 」   ⋮   Ｄ Ｅ Ｍ Ｏ Ｎ .   ⋮  ━━   In   that   moment   and   ever   since   he   heard   the   woman   speak   words   of   sympathy   for   the   fallen   star;   the   USUAL   murderous   intent   had   at   least   faded.   Though,   even   if   the   bloodlust   he   usually   held   towards   adult   humans   had   lessened,   his   thirst   for   mischief   was   still   left   unsated.   Certainly,   it   wouldn’t   to   get   a   SPOOK   or   a   SCREAM   !   It’s   still   pretty   funny   !   What   were   his   plans   after   that   though   ?   

                 Well,   …   he’d   cross   that   road   when   he   got   there.

                His   hands   HAD   been   raised;   a   pretend   game   of   cat   and   mouse   almost   in   order   for   the   woman   and   the   demon.   All   it   would   take   is   that   along   some   weird   demon   noises   and   a   pounce   cut   short   of   actually   attacking   her   to   give   her   a   surprise,   right   ?

                A   move   is   about   to   be   made   …   but   he   stops;   earlier   than   he   intends   on   stopping.   Though   he   has   no   eyes;   he   sees   the   BLADE   pointed   directly   at   his   figure   of   ink. �� If   it   was   just   a   normal   blade   ?   He   wouldn’t   have   stopped.   But   this   was   not   a   normal   blade.   The   entire   thing   was   made   of   ICE   and   a   FLASHLIGHT.   He   saw   the   ice   solidify   from   nowhere   to   form   a   SHARPENED   point.

                Normal   humans   did   not   do   that.   Normal   humans   did   not   do   that   at   all.   And   humans   did   not   have   BLACK   AND   RED   eyes.   Humans   didn’t   change   eye   color,   much   less   have   something   that   unnatural.   The   pecularities   of   this   whole   situation   make   the   demon’s   smile   DROP;   not   out   of   fear   but   rather,   out   of   mere   curiosity.

                ’   What   the   ?   ’   …   Well,   at   least   the   shock   was   expected.   He   HAD   been   planning   on   saying   something   ’   dark   ’   and   ’   mysterious   ’   and   ’   downright   creepy   ’   but   …   the   ice   sword   threw   him   off   and   now   he   FORGOT   what   the   was   going   to   say.   BUT   …   he   does   have   one   idea.

    ˗ˏˋ   ❛   Ain’t   that   a   good   …   ICEBREAKER.    ❜  ˎˊ˗

                BENDY.

{❅}-- The woman blinks, looking almostly blank. Not emotionless or apathetic kind of blank, but as the ‘ I don’t quite understand what’s up so I have no idea how to feel ‘ blank. Such jet-lagged reaction (or lack thereof) only furtherned with the unexpected pun-- earning another blink from her. Likely there were a lot of realizations she had to process at once here.

       Oyuki mildly seizes the massive figure, trying to UNDERSTAND it. It... can speak??? Okay, no, don’t be an asshole Oyuki. At least that confirmed rationalization and sentience were within this creature. Lesser chance of it being a FERAL predator or anything of the sort.

       But WHAT exactly is it supposed to be?

       The lass’ range of emotions went through a cycle in blinks, confusion to anger, to irritation, to mere exasperation, to unfamiliarity and the discomfort of not knowing what emotions are even appropriate for such situation.

       Registering the pun a little late, and the creature’s BOLDNESS in trying to get her from behind, Oyuki slowly begins to show real reactions, being true to whatever feel she got, even if they weren’t appropriate for this. From her voice, she sure seemed a tad annoyed, alongside a squint of her expression. Though her body language more openly showed her discomfort at not being able to identify how much in control of this situation she is, should... something break LOOSE here without warning.

       “... g- goddammit dud’ DON’ do tha’! I almos’ STABBED ya!”

       It’s never a wise idea to sneak up on a WAR VETERAN for shits and giggles! Chances are you’ll end up hospitalized before they can actually register it was a prank. Sure, one wouldn’t be able to tell this woman is essentially a former soldier just by looking. But still, bad idea.

       Faint, crunchy noises of something falling to the floor are the only thing more or less pulling away from this awkward encounter, as the spiky ice that partially encased the flashlight seemed to have lost its integrity and was breaking apart-- the woman must’ve stopped supporting it, especially when she exasperatedly shakes the rest of the ice off the device. The light flickered in response... hopefully no ice got inside the damn thing.

       This might be rather rude, but Oyuki still pointed the now ice-free LIGHT at the large creature, sharp eyes squinting harder as she looked up at them, now seemingly to actually seize up as much detail from them as she could. The fact she can’t tell whether they’re covered in ink or ARE ink greatly put her on edge. Not knowing is off-putting.

       “Wher’ di’ I see ya befor’, tho’...”

       She musters out loud, though it’s mostly to herself. She takes mental notice of the retro-looking glove (the other hand seemed to be missing it,) the large toothy grin that was the facial feat that more or less made it from under the dripping ink, the horn-like pointy ends of their head. The somewhat disheveled white bowtie. She saw those details before... oh.

       “... yer-- yer th’ lil’ guy from th’ paper sheets.”

       The cheeky, devil-like cartoon character she saw before. Except they were... well, there was no polite way to say they looked greatly messed up and deformed. Oyuki may be a stingy bastard, but even she wasn’t THAT tactless.

       However, she was still a bold hooligan.

       “... u- unless ‘m mistaken ‘n’ yer ‘ctually a family o‘ raccoons in an inky trench-coat.”

       ... not even an entire family of raccoons in a trench-coat would justify how absurdly tall this guy was though. Unfair.

A: You can make your muse enter at the #Castle-of-Mirrors in the server roleplay channels once you get a role! All muses enter from here as it is a point of weakness in the world, allowing those from most universes to enter. Just no multi-fandom muses are currently allowed, just Fandomless, UT, and Deltarune.
