Was a little bored today and realized that I have a new playlist that I haven't made a cover for yet so....

I present the cover for my Pulp Musicals playlist that I spent almost the entire day on 😅 This was basically made using images sourced from pinterest, google, the image gallery from the Pulp Musicals wiki and put together using Canva

Ramblings about Pulp Musicals bc I listened to it recently and am already obsessed under cut

I listened to the episodes while vacation with my extended family on my mom's side (a yearly tradition on that side of the family). 2, 3 and half of 4 was even listened to on a speaker in the living room of the house we rented bc most people were out doing stuff like going into town and cycling. My mom's nephew and his gf who also stayed home didn't seem to mind, and my mom's nephew even snapped along to some of the songs lol.

I actually discovered Pulp Musicals a few months ago but it always takes me time to be open to watching a new show/movie or listen to new music. I also just need specific circumstances to listen new music. I just listened to it in the past week and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT

It makes me feel nostalgic in some weird way? Maybe it's because it reminds me of the kind of stories I read/got read to me when I was younger (books by Jules Verne for example) or because as a kid I listened to tons of audio stories with songs (Bert and Ernie cd's, Alfred Jodocus Kwak with Herman van Veen, specifically with the non cartoon-like cover and omg this is so Dutch lol I might post later with some additional info about these bc now I'm feeling nostalgic)

Anyways before I get too off-track and just end up talking about my family vacation, back to Pulp Musicals!

Every mention of the printing press plate made me laugh, especially the first time Rose uses it to knock out John, I was so caught off guard XD

I hoped for more additions to my Mariah Rose Faith playlist, and boy did I get A LOT. At least half of that playlist is Pulp Musicals now!

When it comes to characters, my personal favorites are Rose Stratford (Maybe because of my bias to Mariah characters but hey that's not what this post is about) and Anna Hanover. They're both so passionate and the way they, especially Anna, ramble kinda reminds me of myself sometimes. Also some of Mariah's deliveries as Rose are just amazing.

Just a thought I've had for a bit: You Should Know Me Better has the same energy as If I Loved You. I will not elaborate, and I shouldn't have to.

Okay what else can I talk about... The music!!

I am by no means an expert so this is gonna be very non-specific. Basically just music makes my ears happy. I love the sung narration so much, I think my favorite music was in the third album, I love that each main character has a song title with their name and a celestial body (Margaret and the Moon, Samuel and the Sun, John and the Earth, Rose and the Stars) it makes my brain happy and... yeah it's just good idk. Current favorite songs in no particular order: Shifts, Dropped from the Clouds, Rose and The Stars, The Sargasso Sea, Troll the Tide, The Beginning of the End, It's a Hoax! (Reprise)/Carry On, You Should Know Me Better and let's stop here before I list literally every song

If this is incoherent, it is because my brain is a constant stream of thoughts and internal monologue so any ramblings about stuff I post are inherently incoherent + I'm tired bc it's late and I just got back from spending an entire week in a house with nine other people and doing all sorts of activities with them yesterday and my social battery/general energy hasn't fully recovered

Okay so I decided to spend way too much time on a Canva collage again, I expanded my Pulp Musicals collage I used as a playlist cover in order to turn it into a desktop wallpaper

I'm super happy with it! Again, this was made using images from Pinterest, Google and the Pulp Musicals wiki image gallery and then put together by me in Canva :) All credit for the artwork I found on the wiki goes to the original artists

With the way this is going I might also make a phone wallpaper tomorrow so stay tuned for that

Some little details I'm proud of under cut:

-This little brick satellite I made using a circle frame, image of bricks and a circle shadow graphic + the Pulp logo in the moon

-The little heart with the definition of love in it next to John and Rose + the Rose next to... well Rose ofc

-Definition of memory next to Margaret and Sia

This bit just makes me happy idk why

Little personal note: I am covered in mosquito bites right now (like close to 10 per leg, all in one night. I am in hell), wondering if this is some sort of karma for bragging about being the only one who didn't get bit on the family vacation :D

he's a theatre kid so it's technically already possible
