Is it okay if I still struggle with doubt even though I believe in God?

Hi friend. Thank you for this message. I'm sure it was guided here for those who have the same question.

Struggling with doubt does not mean your faith is broken. It means your faith is living. It means you're thinking, feeling, wrestling, reaching. It means you are taking your belief seriously enough to ask hard questions. God is not afraid of your doubt. He is not pacing around in heaven waiting for you to be perfectly sure before He draws near. You don’t disappoint Him. You don’t make Him flinch.

Faith is not pretending to have all the answers. It’s not reciting the right words until you feel less afraid.

Faith is getting up every morning and whispering, “God, I’m still here. I don’t understand everything. I have questions. I’m tired. But I come to You first.”

And He meets you in that action. God can work with honest hearts. With messy ones. With broken ones. He does not wait until your doubt is gone to begin His healing. Sometimes He begins in it. You are allowed to love God and still feel unsure. You are allowed to pray and still ache. You are allowed to open your Bible and not always feel peace right away.

The road of faith is not paved with certainty. It is paved with trust.

You can take your questions into the presence of God. You can take your doubt to the altar. You can take your aching, unfinished, trembling self into the arms of Christ, and He will not turn you away.

He never has. He never will.

You are safe.
