Ruby's in Austin. Pretty insane. Get the Spicy Chopped Beef.

On Saturday Juston had a session in Austin, Texas with Jim Eno from Spoon.
Afterwards we all went to Emo's because Jim said Brass Bed was playing there. Brass Bed was not playing there, but we still had a good time.

Juston just finished up a great quick and easy San Antonio session with Hacienda. If you haven't heard of them yet, you will. For one of their first shows they opened for Dr. Dog and the Black Keys. Their new album, produced by Dan Auerbach, comes out early next year.
Check out their music here.

Saint Street Inn
Saturday night after the Festival in Lafayette, Juston went over to the Saint Street Inn for an exquisite meal. Miss Emily and the Collard Greens were playing on the front porch and the mood was perfect. Unfortunately, Juston wasn't able to get a session together with Miss Emily, but her show is definitely worth checking out if you ever have the chance.

Juston recorded his Lafayette session at Chris Stafford's studio, and Chris even did all of the audio engineering. Pretty amazing considering the fact that he played three shows with his band, Feufollet, the day before Juston and Brass Bed started recording. Guess this sort of drive is how you get nominated for four Grammies.
Fortunately, we got to Lafayette in time to see Feufollet's shows at the Blue Moon Saloon and Festival Acadiens. Seriously incredible shows packed with some of the most fun people in the entire world.

Juston recorded with all of the members of Brass Bed in Lafayette. This music video of theirs was made by the delightful Allison Bohl, who taught Juston the Cajun two step at Festival Acadiens.

Juston had the good fortune of arriving in Lafayette, Louisiana right in the middle of Festival Acadiens. Here's a look at Feufollet at the 2008 Festival.

Julie from Giant Cloud contributed some incredible vocals and guitar parts on Juston's track in New Orleans. If her version of the ABCs doesn't blow you away, you have no soul.
