So this was a style experiment that got way out of hand but I made my own fancure team! Meet Wonder Precure! 

(please ignore the very silly names i just wanted them to be fun)

Alice Kagami ( アリス  鏡 )is Cure Curious. Alice and her family just moved into a new house and Alice is super excited to explore and make new friends. Though pretty smart, she’s impulsive and has a (sometimes) unhealthy amount of curiosity which can get her into trouble. 

Kanin Vit ( ヴィト  カニン) is Cure Blanch. She’s a recent immigrant from Sweden and while she can speak enough Japanese to get around she still struggles with all the kanji in school. She’s super shy partially because of the language barrier, but is a super star in sports, especially track and field. Has a slight crush on Shun’s older brother.

Masara Nekoemu ( 猫笑む  まさら)is Cure Cheshire. Though she was born and raised in Japan people will assume she’s a foreigner because she’s half black. She has some trouble fitting in at school and tends to be a loner, she has a huge heart for animals though and volunteers at a local shelter.

Shun Suikyou ( 粋狂   俊) is Cure Hatter. Has both a younger and older brother, as well as a large extended family. Shun is excitable and a little hyper sometimes. She’s got a crazy good hand eye coordination and is a valuable member of way too many school clubs, but traditional school subjects stress her out.

Riene Coeur is Cure Queen, originally on the side of of evil as the Queen of Hearts. After defecting and joining the Precures, Riene finds that she excels at schoolwork and leadership, but can be a little harsh and uppity. She eventually runs for student council president and wins.  

Lepi Ao is Cure Chenille, she’s a butterfly fairy from Wonderland and was entrusted with the Wonderful Lockets and finding the Precure. She’s an anxious sweetheart who just wants to do a good job. Lepi starts using her human form after recruiting Alice, hoping it will be easier to get around with her help. She can walk a little bit while her human form but gets tired quickly. After her Metamorphosis she still uses the wheelchair in her human form, but her wings add some appreciated mobility to her fairy and precure form.

my opinions on racism will always be limited as I’m from a position of white privilege, so whilst it’s so important to call out racial inequality and oppression when I see it, it’s also important for me to recognise that my voice should not shout over those who have actually experienced racism and have a far better understanding of how it operates then I ever will
