you're the most wonderful thing to have happened to him in the longest time. he truly, truly treasures you and deeply so.

he's a quiet lover; he'd rather let his actions speak louder, making up for his sparsity in words.

that being said, he loves doing things for you!! oh, you're feeling down today? he soon appears with your favorite drink in hand, holding it out to you, made with his own love.

(/nsx) too tired to bathe yourself? don't worry, he's gently scrubbing your back after a long day.

sometimes, he does struggle with voicing everything he feels.

the love he holds for you runs so deep, yet he could never bring himself to find a way to voice that. all he can do is hope you spot the soft adoration in his eyes as he gazes upon you.

he truly doesn't mean to make you feel unloved; if you asked him to, he would do his best to try affirming his love out loud more often.

his 'i love you's are soft-spoken, a quiet murmur in your ear as the two of you hold each other in bed.

he often gets nightmares, and you have to gently remind him that he can rely on you for comfort. you urge him to wake you up, and he softly hums in acknowledgement; in the end, it's not until much later in your relationship does he let himself wake you up.

in the earlier stages of your relationship, he felt a little guilty. he felt undeserving of your love, of finding solace in you. he believed he was the last person to deserve you.

through your love and time, though, he slowly (very slowly) grows more comfortable in the idea of being loved by you (very, very slowly, though) (did i put enough emphasis on how slow it takes)

you teach him how to look at the world with a little more love, and he teaches you how to take it all a little more slowly :)

in a normal life, outside of the manor, he'd most certainly have a picture of you in his wallet. if someone were to ask about it, he'd tell them that's his spouse/wife/husband.

only lets you mess with his hair!! oh my goodness, his hair is so soft. he doesn't really invest in haircare, but it's still so, so soft and nice. he'd let you braid it, style it, accessorize it, whatever you want (but only behind closed doors).

his love is written in the soft look he has on his face when watching you, in the comforting hold of his hand on your waist, in the little and not-so-little acts he does for you.

speaking of, while it's not his biggest love language, he likes physical touch. he'd rather give it than receive it, but he doesn't mind if you yourself are touchy (i think he just doesn't like being caught off-guard; spontaneous hugs from behind would be a no-go for quiet some time)

he likes caressing your hand, though :) he enjoys cupping the side of your face to observe your features, the face of his beloved.

love lit by candlelight, quiet moments in bed, gentle kisses on the palm of your hand; your love is a soft one :)

v soft spoken and on the more quiet side; he's a man of fewer words, but he still absolutely adores you

whenever he speaks, he tries to get straight to the point. his compliments r short and sweet, but he wishes he could find more words to really express how much he adores and loves you

he'll say things like "your hair looks really nice today :)" or "that shirt looks really cute on you" or even "i love you", all with a small smile on his face, lightly blushing

a bit clumsy!! he does his best to help others, but always ends up dropping something, running into something, etc--please watch out for him..

absolutely LOVES listening to you talk; whether you're rambling about something you read, a special interest, absolutely anything, he'll sit and attentively listen to you (while you're talking, he'll stare at you--he loves seeing the expressions and gestures you make)

not too big on physical affection!! he doesn't necessarily need it nor will never really initiate it, but is completely ok with it

really likes when you initiate first though!! he feels so safe in your hugs, and when you kiss him his head gets all light and dizzy (from ur love ofc) (he also gets flustered if you kiss him in front of other people (even if its js like a peck, he gets super red))

The soft light of morning, streaming in through your windows, pulls you from sleep. Drowsy, yet aware of the person holding you, you carefully turn to face the sleeping painter, pressing a small kiss to his cheek before sliding out of his warm hold.

Or so you thought he was asleep.

You had only turned away from him for a moment or two before he regained his grip on your waist, pulling you back to him.

"Don't go," he muttered, his face on your shoulder. "Not yet."

You couldn't help but softly laugh as you could feel him pouting, his eyes half-open, yet begging you to stay. It was the moments like this that you treasured, the moments where you could lie with him and just enjoy the other's presence, basking in each other's love. Of course, upon coming to the manor, you still had things to do, games to participate in.

"Ed, we have to get up soon," you whispered back, attempting to get up again, only to be held tighter and closer to him.

"Not yet," he repeated, his tone unusually quiet and soft. "Stay with me."

Finally melting, you gave in and relaxed back in his arms.

"Okay," you whispered. "I'll stay."

As he pressed a feathery, light kiss to the top of your head, you felt yourself drifting back into a light sleep, but you couldn't care less.

Nothing that morning mattered to you, apart from being able to be with the artist that captured your heart.

I wanna ask my best friend to homecoming and they’re obsessed with idv but I don’t know anything about it so can I ask how you’d like to be asked to hoco idv themed?

well the general vibe of the game is like mystery with a bit of idk like dark academia-ish. (dunno why that might be helpful but oh well) i have two ideas tho.

1. if you did a stupid pick up line themed around a character from idv that is significant to them (like someone they main, and you'd just have to ask them who they main), that would be sorta cute but that probably didn't make much sense. something like this ig ?

2. another idea that is sweet is downloading the game itself, going through the tutorial really quick (it'll take some time, but it'll be worth it), asking your friend to send a friend request and friending them on idv. what you can do from there is go to the shop and gift them something from there (for ex., a costume, character, or item).

when gifting someone in idv, you can choose whether or not you wanna write a note so if you were to buy them a gift, you could ask "come to homecoming with me ?" or smth idk i've never had the guts to ask someone out lol.

with the second one, it does cost money to gift someone tho, so be reasonable.

tbh that's all i got but i hope that whatever you do ends up going well !! good luck with it :) also i'm so sorry i suck at explaining things lol

if you’re visibly upset, he’ll sit you down on the edge of your bed while kneeling in front of you and cup your face with one hand. his other arm will be wrapped around you, as a way to try and comfort you and/or ground you to your surroundings

he’ll stroke your head while holding you close as the two of you await for fan’s arrival

speaking of fan, he’s currently getting together stuff he knows you like for you

he’ll get you foods you like, little things you took comfort in while at the manor, and something to drink like tea or hot chocolate or whatever you prefer

when he arrives and sees you and xie, he’ll quietly set everything down and join your guys’ embrace

if you want to cuddle, sure! they’ll gladly do so

xie’ll be softly telling you reassurances of how you’re doing amazing and how proud he is of you while fan’ll be more quiet but offer his steady and warm touch, keeping you close to him

xie will be more open and soft with his comforts, offering you sweet words and loving hugs, while fan is sort of direct, telling you to “rest now” but you can hear the undertones of love in voice

okay, so, kevin was just on his way to you and mini hastur just trips him lol

now, initially, he just lightly flicked mini hastur’s head and went on with his day

but, oh gods, did it escalate. now mini hastur was not only tripping him but also sabotaging his calibrations as he decoded, taunting the cowboy as he was chaired, and more—all in attempts to win you back

it finally clicks with kevin when mini hastur was being held by you after he had successfully managed to “humiliate“ the cowboy again. the smug look on that pet’s face, the abnormal clinginess towards you, it all made sense

mINI HASTUR WAS A PETTY F*CK AND WAS JUST JEALOUS

after his realization, kevin takes this as a challenge and tries one-upping mini hastur a ton

kevin’s more affectionate (especially when mini hastur’s around, but you don’t notice) and mini hastur’s more clingy and needy

kevin’ll probably sabotage the pet a little too, but just a little he’s slammed a few doors shut in mini hastur’s face-

what’s funny is that kevin, a grown adult, is sizing up this pet, who’s not even half his height and it’s so ridiculous-

to start off with william however, he was actually going to go and save you! he had his rugby ball and was waiting for the right moment to dash at the hunter and knock you out of balloons, right?

well, mini hastur decided to trip him in the middle of his dash, which scuffed up the rescue </3

as it escalates, he comes to a more slow realization, but he does realize why mini hastur is being so mean to him, he pauses and is like “???”

unlike kevin, william is more subtle, but doesn’t really care all that much tbh

heh he’ll send smug smirks towards the pet every once in awhile

bUt, he also let's mini hastur have his time with you as long as he's there too lol

but because william is acting so nonchalant, mini hastur probably gets a little frustrated and decides to steal one of his rugby balls right before a match </3 william doesn't realize until he's looking for his last one to use and it's not there and after the match he spent the rest of his day looking for it, only to find it covered in a slimy residue

overall, he doesn't really care all that much and he just makes sure he doesn't fall for the mini hunter's tricks and whatnot

on a more humorous note, he has "accidently" punted the pet before after finding his missing rugby ball

Joseph probably gonna be an old man, Wu Chang…its either Fan is the only one who died and became a ghost in Xie’s umbrella or they both still alive. I imagine Joker and Jack being stunners. Still about the self aware IDV stuff(I’m sorry)

One day the tech geniuses manages to break into your phone. I imagine them all standing in a hall filled with files and apps. I really hope the one getting these self aware chars NEVER interacted with the fandom like they don’t have any nsfw or ship pics in their gallery or any idv fanfics stored or else it will be embarrassing and awkward(I hate the “fictional chars finding out about fanfics” kind of thing it embarrass me-)

And if that’s the case, they CAN and WILL travel around your device when you’re not playing IDV. They might try out new things…and experiment with things…

maybe they do some weird shit to your phone to the point where it sorta breaks, but say you can't get a new one just because. now some tech people are looking at your phone and trying to figure out what's wrong, but they find nothing ? how odd.

and things get weirder. you swear it feels like someone's watching you, but no one is, right ? and your phone being all buggy along with idv being weird, something just feels so off. oh, but what do you really know ?
