the 80/20 method to organize your life

-> spend 20% of your time planning your life goals -> dive into the remaining 80%, taking inspired action and making purposeful choices

୨୧ studies or career:

->  invest 20% of your time in mastering the essentials -> use the 80% for exploring concepts, going in-depth, and applying the knowledge

୨୧ language studies:

-> dedicate 20% to grammar of your target language -> let the 80% revolve around practical usage

museums are such a specific environment that inspires such specific feelings in me.

To be surrounded by so many art pieces in so many different forms, some new and some from people who are long dead. we’ve said it a million times but the human need to create and say something with your creations is so powerful and to just sit in front of an oil painting of someone who’s no longer with us and try and figure out their motivation or to be able to say “i get it” is just…

Putting aside all debates of whether the intention of the artist is the main point you can’t deny you want to ask. you want to ask “what did you mean by this” and have them whisper back to you somehow. To be able to “get it” the way they intended.

This goes beyond just physical art, obviously. It also goes for music and books but something about being in a museum and having that experience over and over again with people who are all likely also having that experience.
