Kinda just. A reminder for myself

Advice I gave someone today was: 'do it stupid.'

She wants to learn photography. Do it stupid. Take a million photos. Don't think about why they're not good. Enjoy the process of taking photos.

Pick out tge ones you like the most and figure out why you like them. Is it because the subject is centered? Is it because you caught them doing something cool? Is it because the light made cool shadows?

Do it stupid. If you try to do it smart, youll get stuck. If you think too much you'll never get to doing. Do it stupid.

So anyway, I animated this one part of TF2's "The Naked and The Dead" comic

this started out as a simple sketch

a weird sfm video you saw once and couldn't find again

So, I initially drew this guy because I wanted to draw my own profile picture, and I was going to use them as a sort-of persona for myself.

However, I found myself getting wildly attached to the design and doodling it more, and more, and now they have lore. And I’m not sure if their situation still makes them qualify as a “Persona.” There’s something to be said about the pipeline from Persona to now Mascot/OC, but either way, they’re my guy.

So, a warm welcome to Dr. Morrison! They stole my heart and now, they do not qualify as a depiction of me, but as their own person. One could say they graduated.

And, heres the full version of my profile photo, the drawing where it all started, lol.

(I’ll be completely honest i saw that post that said “I’m covered in hickies, how can I be a respected scientist looking like this!?” ran with it, and never came back)
