Originally described as "the least ambitious of the Baenre sisters", the pious "I only wish to serve Lolth" Sos'Umptu Baenre is now the Matron Mother of the First House. Is this Lolth's reward to her most faithful, or did the title fall to her simply because everyone else is either dead or has turned their back against Her? Was this Sos'Umptu's plan all along? Keep her head down low and survive long enough to be the one to rule over it all? The next book can't come out soon enough.
