There have been a few asks on whether we are having Zukaang Week this year, and we are here to officially say Yes! We are!

It is being hosted by three new mods this year, @chocomd (@theavatarandthefirelord), @convertedzukaang , and @woodlaflababab and we already have a rough-draft plan and schedule hashed!

Before things fully kick off, we will be reblogging the entries from last year as a refresher to kickstart our celebration. If you made something and it didn't get reblogged, feel free to self reblog and tag us so we can make sure you're getting the recognition you deserve ♡

Being Fire Lord after a 100-year war is hard... but it's not so hard if you have a cute girlfriend.

What better excuse to draw them with the "Flores Amarillas" trend? I don't know if it's only from LATAM, but it has become popular to give yellow flowers to your partner this season. There is even a tiktok trend about it with the music of "Flores Amarillas" by Floricienta (Argentine TV novel).

I'm really liking drawing Yuri ZukAang, maybe in the next ZukAang Week I'll just want to draw from them.

Anyway, the Yuri ZukAang I think that there is only happiness, that the angst is left to its hetero and yaoi counterparts >:}

Okay so, the old zukaang discord hasn't magically popped back up for anyone so I've officially made a new one. Keep in mind, it's still new and some kinks will still need to be worked out but we can talk again

Boutta post the next chapter of The Avatar and the Fire Prince (I kinda can't believe it's gonna be the 30th chapter overall, like wow), which is my adaptation of this episode! I needed to post this on tumblr first so that I can copy the link to put the image in the chapter lol.

Fun fact! The original draft of this chapter was actually written wayyy back in late 2021 when I first brainstormed up this AU, just as a bit of practice to see if I could get invested enough to justify actually turning the premise into a full-fledged fic. Obviously, it worked!

I did have to go back through and not only fix some grammar and whatnot since my writing style has changed (improved tbh) in the 2+ years since I originally wrote it, but also beef it up a little in terms of Zukaang thoughts/interactions. Not much has changed overall in terms of the direction this chapter goes, but I very much tried to make sure all of Aang and Zuko’s interactions were unique to them and not just a retread of what happens between Kataang in canon lol.

I literally never could have imagined when I first wrote this chapter that I would actually become majorly invested in this fic, and that so many other people would too! I’m getting close to 2k kudos now and I can hardly believe it - especially since starting out this fic was my first attempt at writing fanfiction since 2015 😭

I really hope you guys enjoy the chapter - just like The Fortuneteller, this one has been much-anticipated! :)

I find it curious that I wrote or drew Fem!Aang being with other girls, before making a sapphic ZukAang ;-;)
