I love movies. I see as many as I can. Most are not Hollywood. I love foreign, indie, and art films. I like to see real people, and not barbie dolls. I like to see interesting situations, rather than the same old story over and over. That said, sometimes a film tells a familiar story in a new and brilliant way. Give me art in character, dialogue, cinematography, sound, or visuals!

Critics Consensus: Jude Law is clearly having fun in Dom Hemingway's title role, but viewers may find this purposely abrasive gangster dramedy isn't quite as enjoyable from the other side of the screen.
UGH! Perhaps if the last 1/3 of the film had been the focus it would have been a better result?

I wish every American (U.S. resident) would see this film.

JOURNEY INTO DYSLEXIA presents profiles of dyslexic students and adults who share their experiences of struggling in school and then succeeding in life. Academy-Award winning filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond examine the complexities of this differently structured brain and debunk the myths and misperceptions about dyslexia.
The best film on dyslexia I have seen so far. Rather than simply focusing on the difficulties, this documentary features real people in their own words, speaking of gifts, as well as challenges, of dyslexia. It gets to the truth of the matter, and would be helpful for educators (and everyone else) to understand that there is no one-size-fits-all answer, and that everybody is important.
There are some really great examples of people who have accomplished a great deal more than most, despite the low expectations from people who were entrusted with their education.

Interesting film showcasing three restaurants and the passion of the families making them happen. Thought-provoking.

Enjoyable documentary profiling three artists. Some really intriguing artwork and creative ideas. This film did a good job of drawing the viewer into the lives of people that might tend to be dismissed by society.

Outrageously fun!
My only complaint is all the head-butting, but I thoroughly enjoyed the film otherwise.

Interesting. Fun/ny? Apparently groundbreaking for treating abortion realistically instead of as a life-changing/life-ending tragedy. Don't bother with the earlier short, but the full feature film is worth seeing.
