I am so enthusiastically obsessed with the idea of Julie and the phantoms s2, but I need them to understand that the best (only) way to do that is to pretend that the last 4 years didn't happen. no time jump, no recastings (if they can help it), no explanation on why Carlos was 9, but now he's 14, none. just simply pretend s2 came out right away. give me one. "Wow, you grew fast since dinner." "yea I ate my veggies," and then simply move on. it would be perfectly comedic and simply nothing would be better

Edge of Great vs Whatever Happens re: Julie's crush on Nick.

Gotta appreciate that he was most likely playing one of Luke's songs here. (The book is not lacking in Juke foreshadowing/content.)

I'm trying not to spoil any of the bigger reveals or emotional plot points, but there are lots of lovely friendship moments between Luke and Bobby. It's actually one of the things I feel doesn’t jive with canon because I did not get the vibe that they were as close as the book depicts them. That said, I think the book is doing three things with Bobby: foreshadowing his separation from the others, laying the groundwork for his theft of Luke's music, establishing an extra layer to Luke's sense of betrayal. Gonna be interesting to see where things go if we ever get season 2.

Sure. I'll post something in a bit. He only gets one POV chapter but there is a lot of good Bobby content in this book, and I think his fans will be very happy. (And can maybe find some solace in the fact he doesn't like the name Bobby Shaw either.)

Context for those who asked about my previous post re: Luke not being Alex's type-- Luke's POV; he slept over on Alex's bunk beds and Alex wants him to sneak out lest his parents think it was a different type of sleepover.

I will say--for the Lalex people who may be disappointed--the book may shoot down any chance of canon-ish romance (I don't think anyone really expected that anyway?), but it does give you some fun things to work with.

It's from the upcoming jatp book, Whatever Happens. I got an advanced copy. I'm not sure how canon it will be--maybe more official fan fiction--but its a pretty entertaining read with lots of fun backstory snippets/povs.

I've always thought Perfect Harmony Luke was channeling Jason Priestly circa 90210, so I found this tidbit in Whatever Happens pretty funny. Dylan > Brandon for Alex.

Not really. It's basically all back story. That first chapter is the only time we see "present day" Alex and Reggie.
