Saturday Football RANT

Before I go deep into my rant let me preface this by saying I am a Steelers fan. I went into watching last nights games without a care in the world who walked out victorious. My team crapped out in the last 4 weeks of the regular season...let alone in their only game in the playoffs.

Onto yesterday's games, I whole heartily believe that the refs definitely made A FEW favorable calls towards the Chiefs. However, the Chiefs just seem to always find a way to win, that's been the story of their season. They are definitely not as good as they have been in the past. I'd say they're a little more mediocre team this year than previous years. I don't think labeling them as cheaters is a fair assessment either. They don't pay the refs salaries. You also can't discredit their defense because they did one heck of a job.

With that being said though, from the opposite side of things the Texans can't expect to win a game when the QB is sacked 8 times in a game, also those missed field goals and the missed point after attempt...those all add up as well. Their special teams definitely struggled a bit last night. Not every time you lose to the Chiefs is it solely because "the refs favor Mahomes". Also, there were some very important plays where they left 87 wide open, and that's never a good idea because that's the go-to guy when Mahomes is about to be down and out he will find him.

To the next game...

To the Lions fans, this one hurt and I know it hurt. I fully expected that we were going to see the Lions go all the way to the big game this year and to come up short in that heartbreaking way is a killer. Goff seems to just always time his bad games when they really need to be good games. I think their time is coming it just wasn't time this year.

To the Washington fans...I mean this with all due respect but where the hell did this team come from?! I mean I've watched some of their games and I know they were good but to knock of Tampa and then knock of the Lions...I did not have that on my 2025 bingo card. I wish them best of luck against whoever wins today as it's going to be a damn good divisional championship game regardless. It's nice to see different teams coming out on top instead of the usual suspects.

In the AFC there is no way as a Steelers fan I am throwing my hat in for the Ravens to win anything. I don't care if they are the best out of what's left I can't stand them and I will NEVER root for them. I will root for the NFC before I'd root for them.

On a side note: Dear dads, Brads, Chads and Skip Bayless...STFU about Taylor Swift already!!! She is doing what any of the other player's wives/GF's do and going to the games to SUPPORT her partner in his job. Just as he went to her concerts. She can't control that people like to see her at games so the NFL shows her at games. She is NOT paying the camera people to put her on the screen. Some of y'all are just so damn threatened by her for no effing reason!
