Lilia's death showed that aaa absolutely has the ability to portray a character's death in a way that is poetic and ultimately does the character justice. it's tragic, but it also makes perfect sense. also for Lilia, choosing to fully embrace her unique ability including knowing how her life ends/begins was the fulfilling, hard choice.

so it could be that Agatha's arc ends with her letting Death take her to be with her son. it would certainly be poetic, but I believe it would be doing her character a disservice.

for Agatha, choosing to live with the grief of having lost Nicky, mentoring Billy, opening herself up to being in a coven with other witches, and learning how to regulate her own magical ability, is the similarly hard choice.

It is actually so funny that Billy “I know an egregious amount about you” Maximoff/Kaplan heard Agatha’s name one time, had a single all-nighter to google her, and then lied to her face about being a huge fan for 5 whole episodes

what they don't tell you is that a well-written fic can get you to ship anything, and i mean ANYTHING. notp? not anymore. you will stay up late thinking about and crying over them for the rest of your life. characters you don't even know from a piece of media you've never engaged with? fuck it, they belong to you now. problematic ship that you loved to hate and now just love to love, that you must never tell your friends about? don't worry, ao3 knows how to keep a secret. like. a well-written fic will have you acting UP and that's a fact baby !!

Fantasy AU where Steve, in the process of mocking the Party trying to pull the legendary sword of the kingdom, pulls said sword.

He refuses to do anything with it and the kids, tired of pestering him to Fulfill the Prophecy, respond by hiring the local bard (Eddie) to follow Steve around until he gets off his ass and goes adventuring.

Eventually, Steve agrees to go on his epic quest. Only everything is absolutely ridiculous and not at all like it was supposed to be.

Highlights include:

The princess he was supposed to save (Nancy) having long saved herself with zero desire to return home (she's not done learning about the kingdom properly and is downright nasty with a bow)

The dragon Steve was supposed to defeat having keeled over ages ago leaving a baby dragon (Dart, who Dustin insists they keep) behind

And

Steve being under a curse from some evil villian for five entire seconds, because he needed to get "true loves first kiss" to break it and he just blinked, shrugged, and planted one on Eddie.

(Robin almost gets killed because she was laughing too hard to fight the villian right after but it was worth it.)

Everytime ao3 is down I'm reminded of two things:

One is that humans have and always will love telling stories, and they will continue to do so even if there is no benefit to telling these stories, but simply because we love creating things

The other is that a concerning amount of people use fanfiction as a form of escapism and we should probably look into that

I'm a multishipper, I ship ronance, rovickie, jancy, Lumax & elmax, but not when it comes to will n mike, I can't see them with anyone else but eachother :)

something that always gets me about this scene is how this simple conversation was everything will wanted. his eyes glisten, he looks so touched by mike's words and by how mike opens up about will's friendship being different, about how important it is to him. will looks so hopeful because this is what comes first, the fact that they are best friends and will was not feeling things alone, they both had felt like they had lost that special bond. and the way will quickly grabs the painting and packs it completely destroys me, like, that was really all it took from mike for will to get all of his confidence back, to regain confidence and willingness to share his art and what he feels for mike GOD are you kidding me all he wants is to have mike by his side in whatever way he'll have him, it'll always be enough for him.
