Just had to share this with you cause i find it fucking hilarious, so i was looking for that youtube video about how trash tz is you mentioned on here and look at what was recommended
Tumblr media
YEAH, just about everything screencapped here feels pretty on point to being related to his content. Spooky's "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" video is really good though, at least (minus all the women-punching "because it's funny"). I worked really hard on that.

Hi so I’ve asked you something before but I have a crazy story that my friend told me. When she was around 21 she went to an event that TZ was attending and performed in front of him and afterwords he asked her for her number and played it off as in case he has a project he’s working on so he could contact her and did this in front of her husband, and I’m just curious did he do this oftenοΏΌοΏΌοΏΌ? Or were you aware that he ever did this? You don’t have to answer I’m just curiousπŸ˜…οΏΌοΏΌ
The only part of it that sounds crazy is imagining him taking the time to watch someone else perform anything, he usually spends 75% of any live event even he himself willingly chooses to attend at the bar, ignoring whatever is happening. The only art/performance he's interested in is his own.
But, yeah. This is a thing I've witnessed/have experience with. He was never so brazen as to ask for anyone's phone number in front of me (that I can remember, anyhow), but he would flirt with other AFAB people in front of me and/or in front of their partners. Most of the time, their partners were just as into it because he's "famous" or "talented" or some blinding excuse like that.

I'm so so sorry you had to go through all of that. I literally just made a new tumblr to reach out since a friend of mine sent me one of your posts, and it just made me think about how creepy he's been towards me ever since we met. Not that I've properly talked to him in years, or ever spent much time with him, but blech! So gross. Hope you're doing well now
Thank you, friend. β™₯ I am much, much better with time and distance and (most of all!) therapy between me and him.
I also wanted to say that I got your other ask but it looks like I only got the second half of what you sent. Do you mind sending or summarizing the first part that seems to have been lost to tumblr before I answer it? (Alternately, if you'd prefer to just chat about it privately, that's totally fine, too!)

Hello!! Before I ask this question, I’d just like to say that all of my love and support goes out to you. You’re so incredibly brave for sharing your stories and supporting those who find themselves in similar situations. πŸ–€πŸ–€
I’m not sure if you’ve answered this question before, but did you have any experiences with other Repo! or Devil’s Carnival cast members? If this isn’t a question you wish to answer, that’s perfectly okay! Thank you for taking the time to read this, sending all of my love your way :)
Thank you, friend. β™₯ I'm happy to do it, both because it's important to me to be able to share my own version of my own story and because I don't want anyone to ever feel the same way I used to, especially at his hands.
I think I've answered similar questions, but I'm happy to say again! I was not around for the filming of Repo! - I started dating terrance the spring after it was released in theatres, May of 2009. That being said, I met and was at very least friendly with all the main and significant supporting cast and crew of it, save for Sarah and Paris (neither of whom I've ever met, lamentably). Having been around for the inception, development, and creation of both Devil's Carnival movies, I also know/knew maybe 90% of the significant players behind and in front of the camera for those, as well.
No matter what I experienced with tz, I'm honestly forever grateful for the people I met and friends I made through him. I have great, great love for so many of those people and will always fondly remember the way so many of them treated me with such respect and kindness at a time when he was treating me, his biggest fan/closest ally/constant sounding board/live-in caretaker/unpaid personal assistant, like an insignificant nuisance.
Not sure if there's any specifics you're looking for! I can tell some stories about some people, but on the whole, the only two people I have horrible things to say about that were involved in either project are terrance himself and the choreographer on the first Devil's Carnival. (The choreographer on the second TDC, however, was one of the loveliest people I've ever met and we were lucky to have him!!)

His new girlfriend is 25 and they have been dating for a few years. She openly calls him daddy. His girlfriend before her looked like an actual child in goth clothing.
*vomit*
Is there any other horrendous stories you could post on here so maybe more people will google his name and fully become aware of how disgusting he is?
I've spent two days thinking about how I want to respond to this and trying, then being like, "Nah, I'll worry about it later," and honestly, that's just rude of me, so I apologise!
The only part of this that surprises me is that he's still active enough to be pulling any kind of relationships. I haven't heard anything about his activities in a good piece, so I was kind of hoping he'd just faded away into obscurity and even shittier tables at the horror conventions he always thought he was better than.
I hope his new girlfriend is smarter than I was when I was her age and dating him. I hope she's getting more than he's manipulating out of her. I hope she knows how fucking ridiculous calling him "daddy" because the only vague father resemblance he'll ever bear is to his own, which I assume is still one of his nightmares.
In terms of his preferred dating pool age range, I can say that there were many many underage fans who were openly discussed as being "so" hot and "too bad" they weren't eighteen-plus. I can be pretty sure that there were even more to whom he was reaching out and saying the same directly to ten years ago, when he was "only" in his late thirties. (He's pushing fifty now.)
On a couple occasions, I had to get ready for a shadowcast performance while I was staying at his apartment. Notably, the first time I put on my full Shilo gear, his response was to ask me if I realized what it did to him to see me fully transform into his biggest fantasy.
His biggest fantasy: a naive, dying teenage girl who knows nothing of the world.
(He did not say the same about the one time I played Amber who, while treated narratively like she is also a bratty child, is obviously an adult woman.)
I don't know if that's peak horrendous since it's all stuff that can be extrapolated without my input and things I've mentioned before and things he himself openly mentions.
But it is worth reiterating his track record of going after 17-25 year old girls who aren't emotionally experienced or developed enough to fight the built-in power imbalance of age and his fame.

First I want to say I’m so sorry all the shit you had to deal with fuck face man(I dare not say his name, in fear that it may summon him) and this really isn’t much of a question and you don’t have to read or respond to this but maybe you’ll find this kind of funny but if you don’t you can also just delete this(I really don’t mean any harm I just kind of wanna make you laugh and feel betterπŸ˜…οΏΌ) But it’s funny that the fact that he’s so transphobic and yet there’s a lot of people who head canon his β€œoh so precious”graverobberοΏΌοΏΌοΏΌοΏΌοΏΌ,as a transgender male! Like I’ve read and seen so many fanart of Graverobber as a trans male. I personally head canon it just as an F you to himοΏΌοΏΌοΏΌ. But anyways that’s all I wanted to say have a good dayπŸ˜…β€οΈοΏΌ
No, I'm so happy you sent this to me! I actually have had other friends bring to my attention that in still being fandom-adjacent, there has been a rise in popularity in trans headcanons for all the characters, but specifically gr. I think that's fantastic!! As someone who spent far too long trying to figure out the most acceptable, approved way to play with his toys as I possibly could to no result (save for the trauma!), it fills me with unbridled joy to know that there's a trend to now play with his things in a way that is pointedly not approved by him.
Thank you for sharing. (Also, your Dolly makeup is INCREDIBLE. The cracks look a m a z i n g!!) β™₯
And everyone else who is transing gr's gender, keep doing what you're doing.

hey there! i found your blog while looking through twitter to see if tz had anything he was working on (ive been into repo and tdc for years but i just found ams and the most recent thing was like ?? 2019??) so i spent a good chunk of yesterday going through and reading and 1) fuck that guy 2) jesus christ and 3) i wanted to send you an ask because its been haunting me ever since i read it - what exactly does he think happens with natural hot springs if he doesnt think they exist naturally in that state
My friend, thank you for this. It is, I think, the best ask I have ever received maybe on any tumblr I've ever had and I am thrilled to have an answer for you.
His take was (maybe still is, I hope to never touch base again with him to find out!) that the water just gets warmed up by the sun and that people were so stupid and self-centered as a society to really think that something so ridiculous as a naturally occurring jacuzzi could exist for them.
Anyway, when we showed it to him, he refused to get in, made some excuses about being annoyed by the other people there, then went to sit in my car and blast the AC until he wore my battery out on the side of the road in basically the desert.

hey, I don't know if this blog is something you still check, but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for all you went through and hope you're doing better wherever you are now. I also wanted your opinion on something I've been mulling over, though please don't feel obligated to give ur two cents; feel free to just delete this, but do you think it's okay to make work inspired by the aesthetics of zdunich's? (1/2, sorry, text limit)
Tumblr media
Thank you, hon! β™₯
So, it would be absolutely insane for me to tell anyone that they shouldn't make work using Repo! (or any of his other creations) as a jumping-off point or basis. I'm sure I've said this before on this blog, but Shilo is still a character that I feel incredibly close to and there's nothing that's going to change that. (I jokingly refer to her, amongst friends, as my "original character".) I still create art/writing/etc. about her on a pretty regular basis, honestly.
So, that's to say absolutely go for it!!! Obviously a lot of his works are deeply coloured by his shitty perspectives on everything, but that doesn't negate the fact that he's created some really rich properties that can be read very differently from how he intended them to be. He didn't invent the concepts of devastating world plagues, body modification, the horrors of capitalism, or any of the tropes his characters embody. Take what you like and run with it. Make it your own.

First of all I want to say I’m sorry for for the way Terrence treated you. I hope writing this blog has been therapeutic for you and your healing. Please only answer if you feel comfortable, but I wanted to ask how you felt about the recent YouTube video that discussed your abuse. I used to be a repo fan a few years back, and watched that video when it came on my suggests. It was my introduction to the youtuber, and to your blog and well. Watching the video felt a bit upsetting, but also helped me make sense of my experience in the fandom and the weird culture of these niche gothy fanspaces where a lot of ickyness and misogyny goes unnoticed. I imagine the extra attention you got from the video might have been stressful. I wanted to hear what you thought about it and whether hearing someone else talking about it felt therapeutic to you. Hearing Laura talk about your involvement in so many of these art projects made me feel for you, because I realized how invested you must have been in these movies as well. Wherever you are, I hope you are able to still be involved in art and/or projects that you love.
Thank you! Between being able to share what happened to me and actual therapy, I'm better than I've ever been. Progress is a not-fun roller coaster, but I have so many more days where I can look back on my life with him and laugh about the ridiculousness rather than cry about the damage done.
I have really mixed feelings about the video. Laura's critique of the movie and terrance's work was hilariously on point and the whole video is just super enjoyable to watch, as both an ex-Repo! fan and someone who enjoys snarky media critique.
While I understand her reasoning as to why she never reached out to me, I don't agree with it. I'm honestly still a little mad about it and I don't know that I ever won't be. It would have been nice to have been asked for permission, which I would have happily given. It would even have been nice to have a head's up, whether or not she wanted my permission. There's just something uncomfortable - to me, the subject - about someone else telling my story - which is in good part about being left out of my own story - and leaving me out of it.
Obviously she couldn't have known this, but also, the video dropped at a time when things were not so hot for me. I didn't really have the energy to spare for that unexpected burst of attention, but I still felt like I had to run to catch up to all of it since I hadn't been given the opportunity to get in front of it and prepare. It's been a long time since I had active bullies, but the comments on the video absolutely awoke that same feeling again - except, tbh, kind of worse because I knew I couldn't jump in and defend myself or cut anyone to the quick with my sharp wit without looking like a whole idiot. Reading them became something of a self-harm routine for weeks after, where I'd be refreshing the video multiple times a day to see if there were any new hateful, ignorant takes about me - which I really didn't need at a time in my life when I already had other things making me feel isolated, not listened to, and hated. And, look, I know that knowing she was going to make this video wouldn't have saved me from any of that, but...I don't know, I would have liked to have been able to do some prep work with my therapist beforehand rather than being forced to frantically try to patch the cracks after.
At the end of the day, I do think it's good that the video exists. I'm glad it's put more attention than I've ever been able to on the fact that he's a self-important, predatory bag of trash. I want people to stay safe from his bullshit and I want people to hear a funny, inciteful take-down of his overinflated ego. If there's more than one place on the internet for people do that, that's a good thing!

Yeah idk if you're like, still running this blog but I'm so goddamned sorry you had to go through that shit. And I *was* a fan of TZ's (just got into American Murder Story too, but I'm definitely rethinking that now). How TF can anyone still work with him? Anyway. You've got some serious guts coming out with all this stuff. Blessed be, hope things get better.
Thanks for reaching out, friend! I don't really update anymore but I do still regularly monitor it, especially after an upswing in attention brought by a YouTube semi-exposΓ© that I got blindsided by a couple months ago. The sad answer to your question is that, unless you have a really attuned creep aversion radar, he's super charming and quantifiably pretty talented at most (not all) of the things he thinks he's the best at (neverminding that he's used those talents as an excuse to punch down - sometimes literally - while complaining that all other artists besides him are too cowardly/safe to punch up or punch at all...). He's decent at playing professional-but-edgy so that you like him because he's not a regular professional, he's a ~cool~ professional and by the time you realize he makes hateful jokes about people you love, is disgustingly queerphobic, thinks rape/sexual violence is hilarious, and doesn't know what a natural hot spring is, you're already too entangled to get out of a situation you now see why you never should have gotten into. Professionally and personally. Regardless! Things are better than they were because he is no longer actively in my life and, unlike him, I believe in therapy. And electric ovens, but that's besides the point. β™₯

First I want to say I'm so sorry you had to deal with all that bs not just from zdunich but from his fans. Thank you for speaking Outland making his behavior known. Back in the day I followed some repo/tdc rp blogs and I remember an argument I had with one about tamara's story and how shitty and victim blaming it was. Fans were defending it as some "artistic choice" and are somehow surprised to find he's just as predatory as the roles he writes for himself.
To be honest, it very well could have been me arguing in his favour, at any given point and, if it ever was, I'm so, sorry. In the midst of it, living with him and being drowned in his horrible takes on everything in life, I thought I agreed with him that Tamara was a person he'd written to be a sinner in that she didn't value her safety or life and willfully chose to keep doing the wrong thing. He had me very, very convinced that it couldn't possibly be victim blaming because she wasn't "actually" a victim. (To be fair, I do still think there are aspects of that storyline that suffered in translation from script to screen, but a) not enough of them to make it okay that he wrote a whole tale about telling abusive victims they're doomed to Hell and b) it doesn't matter bc the only important thing in that whole sequence is Doll & Scorps, anyway!)

I want to say, thank you, for this. As someone who adored the movie and Zdunich as an underaged person, even I knew, before finding your blog, that his humor about sexually assaulting women was weird for a grown man to say. I'd burnt out on my hyperfixation on Zdunich well before he made anything else, and so did not watch or listen to his subsequent works, but I appreciate you speaking out.
You're very welcome! Thank you for reading. β™₯
I'm glad to hear that you were someone who noticed something was uncomfortable about him well before I did. I excused his rape-centric "style" of "humour" for SO embarrassingly long because I convinced myself it had to be satire, mocking the idea that something so heinous could even be funny. But, nope! He's just a shitty edgelord who genuinely gets a giggle out of violence against women.

Yeah, the early 2010s was a "fun" couple years for that. Do not recommend. But thank you, friend. I am safe and I am as well as I can be, working through my traumas and trying to stay on top of the drama of it all that gets drummed up every so often! β™₯

Hello its me again just a follow up. I've been in TDC Fandom for awhile and followed terrances stuff and "officially" it seems that he did shift a majority of the blame on Emilie which is just plain cowardice. Also I don't think all people who play villains or creeps are themselves but.. there's a cruel irony to the fact that the man who played the devil.. wasn't exactly an angel himself. I hope.. that everyone can come out stronger after this. I'll support the others definitely instead of TZ.
Yep, he love shifting blame and, based on conversations I had around the time of TDC2's early post-production, I'm not at all surprised he openly blames Em for its failings.Β  Which is absurd and heinous, considering that she’s maybe the only fully-realized character in the whole piece, in most part due to Emilie’s own decisions and performances.

Oh God please tell me nevik ogre is not a shitty dude too. Why do all of these guys who are amazing at playing sketchy characters end up being sketchy. Should have saw this coming
I can't say with authority that he's not, but I never experienced him to be. On the contrary, when I met and worked with him on the first TDC, he always remembered my name and who I was and treated me kindly and respectfully - which was something of a treasured rarity in that world. (I frequently moved in the same circles as a bunch of d-and-below-list filmmakers, performers, and journalists during this time and save for the few who were legitimately my friends at the time, most of them would meet me a million times and only remember who I was if I said, "I'm terrance zdunich's girlfriend," and then they would be like, "Oh, right!" and stop whatever other conversation we were having to ask if he was around, then lose interest when he wasn't. Meanwhile, most of the legitimate stars I worked with on both TDC films always remembered me well and fondly, in several cases to the point of genuine friendship.) Mostly, I think the take-away shouldn't necessarily be that all performers who play villains or creeps MUST be villains and creeps themselves, without fail. Some performers are nice people who are just very good at their jobs. Other performers are terrance.

I am entirely speechless. I some how felt betrayed but then again he always gave off that creep vibe. To think that the characters he so convincingly played were so similar to who he actually was. I'm a huge devils carnival fan and heard that devils carnival 3. Was backed up due to "issues" with the actress of broken doll back in 2018... now I wonder if this had anything to do with it? Too bad DC2 ended on a cliff hanger damn.
There are a lot of reasons TDC3 didn't/won't happen - logistical, financial, loss of interest, creative differences, etc. - but absolutely none of them were Emilie's (Painted Doll) fault. If anything, by design, the series was meant to constantly shift focus onto different characters so if there was really an issue with her specifically, then she could have been written out or put on the backburner like so many other characters were between the first and second films. Terrance as I knew him was always very quick to shift all blame around onto everyone else he worked with and never take his own bad behaviour or failings into account when a project would go belly up.
