It's holiday card time! I'll be working on sketches today for patrons to pick from (Raven was last year, Fox year before)

THIS YEAR I decided to skip the "pick the animal vote" because the choices would've been between Raccoon and Possum. I'm fairly sure the winner would be write-ins stating "BOTH" so... I'm putting them both in.

If I get FIVE new patrons, I'll be making Cheeseburger stickers to send with the card.

Couple of things: Need to sign up by mid-Nov because I need a count by Black Friday. Also gotta stick around at least through Dec. Longer if you'd like too (and I seriously don't mind if people only hang out for a little while!)

Started the sketches for this year's holiday card! It'll have raccoons and possums (no way I could pick between the two) All of them are based off of critters that wander through the backyard at night. Holiday cards go out to all new & current patrons in December

On twitter I’m seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.

On tumblr I’m seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.

Be careful who you get your information from. Don’t let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.

Friendly reminder that almost half of the states in the U.S. have same day registration! This means you can go to the polling center for your location, register there, and cast your vote same day. So if you are over 18, are a U.S. citizen, and live in one of the states listed below, it is not too late to register and vote! I’m going to put notes for some of the states where voting is extra important due to the political climate of the state.
