Sanity Check

Some days, I admit, I do wake up and wonder: should I be absolutely unhinged? It may come as a surprise to some that the answer is surprisingly difficult. On one hand, the flippancy of being the craziest bitch one could possibly be without any regard for one's personal status has intrinsic sexy bad boy energy that cannot be matched. On the other, losing all that status means giving up respect, connections, money, power...everything that makes a villain intimidating and threatening. But an odd paradox reveals itself. In certain situations, the insanity can be treated as mere stage play. After all, upon a golden pedestal of fame and fortune, everyone expects you to be an insane little twat. Give the people a little of what they want and they'll be satiated. Validated, even. Play up a bit of the evil, a bit of the excess, and maybe even add a sprinkle of flamboyancy, and suddenly the whole world's talking without anyone who's really in power deeming you a problem child needing to be put in their place. Indeed, you won't catch me veering a little too far to the right of what most would consider sanity. That's playing a dangerous game, and nobody wants to look like a bumbling fool now, do we?

Soliac sucks in a deep breath and holds herself up, brushing down her fur and making herself look presentable. She's going to get back soon. Apologies may not fix everything, but its a start, right? She just has to get back...

She knocks on the door and steps back, waiting as a cacophony of sounds arise before someone opens the door.

Soliac's face scrunches in rage before melting to defeat. "I'm Soli," She croaks. The name still sends tingles on her tongue, but it's nowhere as harsh as it was soul retchingly painful.

"Kyren," she croaks, "take me to this place rumored to reform people. I.. perhaps they can let me get in contact with someone to take me home."

"I'm Soliac..." She mutters, but the name alone burns her tongue. She gasps as her head jerks, but as she says it again, it burns hotter. "What the hell?!" She cries, shoving as her snout. "Are we not allowed to say our own God-given names?!" She shrieks, borderline hysterical. "Are you KIDDING me?!"

"I have to go home to heaven. T-they sent me here for some stupid reason! I-I didn't do anything that bad! Sure her daddy warned her over and over, but she was only playing! Everyone was having fun... or at least that's what she was told...

Soli perks up and hurries after him, but her heart- soul, right?-pounds at the thought of them not being able to rehabilitate anyone?

"Nobody?" She croaks, "In the millennia of years this place existed, nobody has ever made it to heaven?!" She laughs and holds her head, the thoughts that she suppressed now trying to reer their ugly head as realization sets in.

They abandoned her here. The her father had enough and he sent her away?

"You're kidding me," She breathes, mindlessly following this sinner(? They're... they're helping her. No normal bastard sinner would just help her). "There has to be a way to get home. I-If I could just... explain myself, even apologize, t-they wouldn't just leave me here."

Soliac looks at her paws then the wings on her back. They're dusted with gold, but that seems to be the only remnant of her past life, aside from the gold bangles on her wrist. They feel like cuffs chaining her to this damnation.

"What even is this 'Hazbin Hotel'?" She asks, her wings somewhat relaxing. Apparently the gods were wrong yet again. Not every one down here wants to steal her soul.

"If it means dropping me off to somewhere I could get back home... I suppose it wouldn't hurt, but with a name like that, it sounds like a washed up rehab center."

Soliac yelps in surprise, unable to pull away, because to do so otherwise would render her new "mate" feral at her. The vibes in this place as she is yanked around is feral and angry, fire everywhere and people screaming and bashing each other on the head. The sights alone are terrifying and nothing like the place she previously come from. Compared to here, the rage her father previously presented seems to be a whimper compared to the wrath swarming this place. It's frankly terrifying.

She begins to breathe heavily as panic begins to take hold. She doesn't need to ask stupid questions. She knows exactly where she is at, and the thought that the gods themselves would throw *her* out?! So what if she *played* with a few of her angelic childhood friends. She didn't mean any harm... even if harm did eventually befall them...

"Where are you taking me?" She breathes, trying to tug her hands free. This jovial seeming fellow seems sane compared to the other wretched people here, but- "I don't trust you a bit! Where are you taking me?!"

Solia flaps her wings and flushes darkly, not fully understanding just where she is now. One moment she was staring into her father's many eyes, next, she's come face to face with a strange creature. These aren't like the ones she is used to in heaven...

She looks at her paws and frowns. She never shifted to this form, and now its difficult to shift out of it. She looks around pathetically.

What do you do?
