check to see if your chosen amv maker is spotlighting a specific fundraiser and donate the minimum amount there otherwise donate to any fundraiser from el shab hussein and nabulsi’s vetted list or to gaza esims or crips for esims

dm date and proof of donation with a short prompt (movie/show/fandom, type of music, vibe of the amv) to chosen amv maker, be sure to mention if you are light sensitive/motion sick etc. so they can accommodate you if needed

i'm really getting sick of siraj @siraj2024 having the least traction out of all of the campaigns i've been relentlessly posting about for the past month. like, is it really just because he doesnt want to violate his privacy and post pics of his family and describe his misery in detail? i swear to god you people just want palestinians to perform for you. siraj puts so much effort into his writing FOR YOU! and it still isn't enough!

he couldnt post his daily update because a member of his family had fallen sick! cuz israel is poisoning the land they live on and destroying any ability for them to get better. and now his campaign is stagnating. because he had to actually care for his family and stop performing for you assholes for two seconds. i actually cannot handle this. donate or shut up

Btw, non UK users here, would be genuinely super helpful if you could boost posts relating to the far right violence happening and also counter protests. A lot of UK users don’t really follow each other, and also it just helps to increase the chance of people who could go to counter protests seeing posts about what’s happening when. I know posts about our politics; and non USAmerican politics really; don’t get a lot of traction on here, but like despite the UScentrism of the English speaking user base it’s really helpful and beneficial to share these things. The situation is likely downright horrifying to those being targeted right now and it really should be a priority for us to go out and counter this to the best of our abilities

My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.

In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.

I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February. (My messages are set to mutuals only, but if you donate and we aren’t mutuals if you send an ask with the proof I will make sure to answer it privately.)

😭 I think it would be so funny and valid of him to go "I'm probably gonna die in my cave I'm taking y'all down with me you unhinged cannibals" but my theory is genuinely that he didn't do it because he's a wimpy loser (so so affectionate) and it'd set up Nat as the new leader/set up another line for them to cross: they allowed Javi to die but didn't actively kill him but if they kill Ben, especially if he didn't do it? re: kaia nieves and dark kaia

i am not the first blogger to speak out about kaia nieves and why she is a racist native caricature that white people CANNOT and SHOULD NOT continue writing. i would also like to preface this post that i am not north american native so apologies for any inaccuracies and if you are north american native i welcome your input.  first of all, the actress who plays kaia nieves is not north american native. yadira guevara-prip (kaia’s actress) is hispanic/latina and she is known for playing other offensive native stereotypes on other shows.  second of all, the first episode kaia is introduced is the bad place is written by bobo berens. he is a white man writing her storyline about overdose and dreamwalking.  bobo berens treats dreamwalking as a superpower and completely ignores how sacred dreams and dreamwalking is to indigenous culture. here is a resource that discusses how dreams have a spiritual significance to native culture (including south american indigenous people) and this one focues on the anishinaabe peoples. bobo berens wrote about kaia nieves being an addict which is very offensive because statics show native american youth have a substantially higher use of alcohol, marijuana, cigarettes, and other illicit drugs. source  but overall, statics show that native americans have a high rate of substance abuse. source writing about a native character as a white person it is not your place to explore intercommunity issues like that. not to mention spn is filmed in canada where issues like drug addiction and homelessness are prominent. 

addressing dark kaia is even worse because she is literally the essence of the media stereotype of natives that claim we are “savages”. (i’m kʼicheʼ basically a native guatemalan/”mayan” and i’m tired of these savage native stereotypes. i’m pretty much at my point with the blood sacrifice stereotype that we are portrayed as in media) but focusing on dark kaia, she is literally carrying a spear, is introduced as a “bad guy”, and lives in the woods alone. her first interactions on screen portray her as “aggressive” as she tries to kill claire and kaia. here are sources that explain the “savage” native stereotype: source 1. source 2. source 3. if you are a white person continually writing kaia and/or dark kaia, you need to take a step back and examine your anti-indigenous biases. why are you so attached to this character built on anti-indigenous stereotypes and cultural appropriation? if it is because of dreamhunter you can always ship claire with krissy, alicia, any female character claire’s age in spn, or just create an oc. if it’s because she’s canonically sapphic there is also charlie, lily (special child), siobhan and kristin, and max and stacy. headcanoning characters is also encouraged in the fandom too.  from a south indigenous person, please stop writing kaia if you are white. you cannot reclaim her. ( feel free to donate to one these charities if you want to apologize lol)
