I was just thinking this, I was taking to my friend next to me and rambling how much I really didn't like the redesigns, especially rovers. Like c'mon

So, I started rewatching the last kids on earth series and on rewatch the visuals just feel…disappointing? Cause the books have such a cute art style and the series looks super cheap. Also some characters get pretty much completely redesigned and I don’t get why. June for example looks completely different, as does rover, and I actually think rovers new look is worse than June’s. Also Jack and Quint both look sort of off. The characters who I don’t think were done poorly are dirk, Bardel, thrull and skaelka.

Look at Rover!! He’s so fluffy in the books and not at all in the series. I still really like the series but the style is just something I’m having trouble getting over.
