“No, I will not come outside.” Hatenna stares at the door to her Trainer’s bathroom, perplexed. She can sense that something is wrong, can hear it in her trainer’s voice, but she cannot tell what it is. She hums, encouragingly, and hears him sigh.
The door cracks open wide enough for her to wiggle through, and she makes her way into the bathroom. She looks up at her Trainer and makes a small noise in surprise.
Bede, somehow, looks exactly like her! She’d know that hat and hair combo anywhere! She hums again, this time in delight, though she can sense that her Trainer is anything but excited.
“I can’t believe.... he’d do something like this,” he mutters, and though his anger is distasteful, it hasn’t stopped Hatenna’s laughter. “When I find him... he will pay... oh, yes he will.”

* watership down
watership down is a novel by richard adams.
‘ by yourself, alone? ’
‘ you can’t. you’d die. ’
‘ i’ll look after you. ’
‘ i think that’s something we can only wait for. ’
‘ what do you think of that? ’
‘ you need a rest. ’
‘ i’ll tell you all about it later on. ’
‘ you hurt? ’
‘ they didn’t want to disturb you. ’
‘ just let me look after you for a bit. ’
‘ are you all right? ’
‘ how did you get that wound? ’
‘ can you hear me? ’
‘ i don’t blame you. ’
‘ you haven’t got to. ’
‘ if you are not careful, people will begin to trust you. ’
‘ i can’t trust anyone else, but you’ll come with me, won’t you? ’
‘ can we trust you? ’
‘ i don’t like this story. i know i’m not brave – ’
‘ let me go! let me go! ’
‘ why did you cry like that, if you were all right? ’
‘ you’re all alone, sharp and clear, like a dead branch against the sky. ’
‘ come down there: we can talk more easily. ’
‘ you can see the whole world. ’
‘ the funny thing is that you feel terrified to stay and i feel terrified to go. ’
‘ there’s nothing to be afraid of. ’
‘ there’s nothing to worry about. ’
‘ i don’t want to go. ’
‘ i feel very sad. ’
‘ he seems quite at home with you. ’
‘ where do you come from? ’
‘ does the thunder worry you? ’
‘ are you sure? ’
‘ and if that’s not meeting your fears halfway, then i don’t know what is. ’
‘ why can’t we go home? ’
‘ do you really think we will? ’
‘ what’s your idea, then? ’
‘ why’s he called that? ’
‘ he’ll remember that. ’
‘ that is the test of your belief. ’
‘ well, i thought, this sounds hopeful. ’
‘ couldn’t wake him up. ’
‘ how can we find them? ’
‘ are you trying to make me angry? ’
‘ how can we find them? ’
‘ do you know he was out all night in the rain? ’
‘ can we go back to sleep now? ’
‘ we can’t fight them. ’
‘ let’s hear the rest of the story. ’
‘ i hope you understand. ’
‘ have a look outside and you’ll see why. ’
‘ i’m not going to get angry because you call me stupid names. ’
‘ what’s the alternative? ’
‘ it doesn’t matter where. ’
‘ just you and i? ’
‘ but what else is there to hope for? ’
‘ it’s all forgotten. ’
‘ then all the rest follows. ’
‘ it’s no good. ’
‘ run! ’
‘ piss off! ’
‘ bad place. ’
‘ yes, yes, all friends. ’
‘ i don’t know what it is. ’
‘ you can hide there and i’ll join you. ’
‘ come on, hurry up. ’
‘ they’re all mad, you know. ’
‘ blame you? blame you for what? ’
‘ unless you feel it isn’t safe? ’
‘ no, it’s safe enough. ’
‘ it must be something very bad. ’
‘ we’ve all got to stop running one day, you know. ’

𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙣? ✦ origingened:
ooh, a pokemon trainer. he’s talking to his hatenna and seems to be friendly with her, but they probably shouldn’t be too careless just in case.
then again, they’ve regained some of their invisibility. who’s to say they shouldn’t have a little fun with these two while they have the upper hand?
they drift a little closer, just close enough to place a plastic spoon on top of his head.
𝙎𝙊𝙈𝙀𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙄𝙎 𝙒𝙍𝙊𝙉𝙂. Something is very wrong. Bede feels as though something is out of place. Not around him -- no, everything was out of place around him, after all -- but... with him. He looks at the sleeves of his jacket: they’re fine. He looks at his shoes: they’re fine. Is it...?
Oh.
Gingerly, he reaches up and touches his hair. There is something there. Something small. Something cool. He grabs the thing from it’s perch on his head as though it will bite him. Bringing it down to look at it he is surprised -- and quite confused -- to find a... spoon. How did that get there?
He looks up, looking for a spot where it maybe could have fallen from. But then, wouldn’t it have bounced? The source of this spoon is the second mystery of the day, and he’s none too thrilled.

𝙨𝙊𝙙 𝙊𝙛𝙁 𝙗𝙀𝙙𝙀 ✦ dynadubwool:
Crap! So much for a quick getaway. Not that he’s running away - he just doesn’t have the energy nor patience to deal with this guy. Hop tentatively touches his cheeks, then forehead, wincing. There’s a few scrapes, but that right cheek is definitely going to bruise come tomorrow. He freezes at Bede’s snarky voice. How did he get that close without him noticing!?
He immediately switches to Northern Galarian. “Sod off Bede, this isn’t some kind of joke.” Eyes narrow as he faces the other. I’m fine, by the way. Thanks fer askin’. “And why would I ever help you?” His eyes flicker to Hatenna for a moment, before settling back on Bede. He’s not going to try and battle Hop, is he? He hates to admit it, but he’d been putting more time into researching than battling before he arrived here, so he’s out of practice. Plus there’s the whole reverting to a Wooloo thing…
Tackle isn’t a very strong move, and Growl is useless against a Special Attacker like Hattena.
“I don’t have time for you.”
𝙎𝙊 𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝘼𝙎𝙉'𝙏 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝙊𝙋𝘼𝙇'𝙎 𝙎𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙈𝙀, 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙉. Bede maintains his composure, but can’t help the creeping feeling of suspicion. Why would Hop be here, then, if he wasn’t here to assist Opal? Was he on his own test, or some sort of obstacle put in place rather than some kind of assistance?
Was there a test at all?
“You seem to have misunderstood me. I’m not asking for your help.” Bede gives Hop a once over; he didn’t seem to have any Pokemon out, at least. Perhaps they’d been taken as well? That feeling of suspicion crept closer. What on earth was going on?
Bede tosses his head to the side, bangs shifting out of his eyes, and Hatenna copies the motion. “If anything, you look like you need my help. Walking into walls isn’t exactly how you solve problems, Hop.”
Did he want to admit that he was glad to see someone he at least recognized? Not out loud. Especially when it was Hop. “I’m sure you can find time for assistance, hm?”

which season are you?
autumn.
Endings can be bittersweet-- but autumn is a time dedicated to them. It might feel lonely, like you don't know what lies on the path ahead, yet you keep on walking through the changing leaves. Everything is changing, isn't it? And you're frightened. You see a cold winter on the horizon, and a chill in the air, and you're doing your best not to get lost in the woods. Take a deep breath, and keep moving forward. This loneliness won't last forever.

𝙜𝙤𝙙, 𝙝𝙚'𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙤. ✦ dynadubwool:
@fairysuccessor liked for a starter! (oh no)
He’d ventured a little farther away from home base then he wanted, but fortunately for Hop, he wasn’t born with an abysmal sense of direction like his brother. He’s been keeping an eye on his surroundings, making note of anything interesting enough to use as a landmark.
He’s just about to round a corner of a building when Felt lets out a growl in front of him. “What’s wrong, buddy?” Peeking around the corner, Hop’s eyes immediately find the source of his partner’s ire.
There, in all of his pink, cocky, stupid glory was-
“C’mon, let’s go. Just ‘cause we know ‘im doesn’t mean we gotta talk.” He returns his Wooloo to his ball and turns away…
… Only to smack into the wall with a thud.
𝘽𝙀𝘿𝙀 𝙆𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙊𝙋𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝘼𝙒 𝙄𝙏. He knew when the chairman had offered his hand to him in the orphanage. He knew when he requested to borrow the chairman’s Pokemon in Stow-on-Side. He knew when he was whisked away by the old lady to fairy bootcamp. And he knew it now, when he discovered who had made that awfully loud noise.
Hatenna sneers from her place in his arms, and Bede can’t help but make a similar expression. Opal seemed content to keep throwing spanners in his challenge, but this was certainly one he never could have expected.
“Well, well, well,” he hums, approaching a rather familiar face. Was he grateful for this opportunity? Absolutely. That old saying of keeping your enemies close never seemed to apply more. “Did the old lady rope you into helping me in her test?” He tuts, and Hatenna mimics the sound. “Why on earth would she bother? She knows I can handle something like this myself.”

𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙄𝙎 𝙎𝙀𝙏𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙐𝙋 𝙏𝙊 𝘽𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙎𝙏 𝘿𝘼𝙔 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍. First, his Pokemon are missing. Second, his Hatterene -- so strong, so well trained -- is suddenly much ... smaller. He didn’t remember startling her out of evolution, but here she is, a Hatenna once more.
“Something’s amiss,” he says. He bends over to pick up Hatenna, an old nervous habit he never thought he’d do again ( it’s hard to hold an almost seven foot Pokemon like a stuffed Teddiursa ), and takes another glance around him. The old lady really has it out for him this time, doesn’t she? He thought he’d passed all her tests! “Hatenna -- don’t look at me like that, you’re a Hatenna again. What would you like me to call you?” She doesn’t give him a response, so he tuts fondly and pats her head. “Anyway... we ought to be careful... but if this is another of Miss Opal’s tests, we should show her we’re not to be trifled with!”

bring the bede in
you think your favourite colour is pink? name three of pink’s most popular songs--
actually a huge jerk. not even in a funny way.
will insult you if you breathe wrong
you’re currently breathing wrong, wimp
bullied everyone’s favourite rival and honestly? he doesn’t even care
he can’t do anything while he (and more importantly, his hatenna) is in isola so at least you won’t get your ass kicked while he’s here
likely won’t warm up super quick (yes you are welcome to try)
