NAME: Jack Horner aka Jack The Giant Slayer aka Jack B. Nimble aka Jack of all Trades AGE: Twenty-Five OCCUPATION: Professional Entrepreneur / Scam Artist [ negotiable ] STORY: Jack And the bean Stalk/ Nursery Rhymes — IN SHORT  — Not the best at scamming the world, Jack has made quite the reputation for being untrustworthy and sly. But he’s yet to give up his big dream on the ‘get rich quick’ and make it big in the mundane world to live like the king he was born to be. But some men can’t change there stripes and even though Jack likes to be considered the best swindler in the game he’s been known to show his soft side every once in a while.

— HISTORY  — For Jack, life has not always been a pocket full of roses or stardust. As a boy, Jack's life was far from extraordinary. Poor and not much left but a cow who didn't want to produce milk, Jack was forced by this mother to travel into town. No less than 5 pounds and he was to sell his best friend. But in the market, that day fate had other plans. Instead of selling his cow for five pounds, Jack instead exchanged the animal for a pouch of magic beans. beans that were said to lead to the land of Giants and untold riches. His mother hadn't been so happy, tossing the beans from the window out into the muddy earth.  Little had she or Jack known that would be the start of one of his many adventures. Scaling the beanstalk, Jack went in search of the riches and mythical Golden Goose. What he hadn't planned on was a slew of Giants being up there, ready to stomp him at the first opportunity or their being.  Trapped and nearly killed, Jack outwitted the Giants and fled stealing the Golden Egg in the process. Down the Beanstalk, he clamored followed swiftly by the Giant's who castle Jack had invaded. The moment his feet hit the earth, he began to chop the stalk down, leading the death of the Giant. But if Jack were to tell the story, there were five of them and he outwitted them and slew them in a fit of bravery to earn the title "Giant Slayer" and his cow back. After that, the money had quickly been squandered on this or that idea of his.

But that was before he realized his little village wasn't good enough.  He wanted more. Wanted to be more. And so he left his little village. Swindling himself into the hearts and beds of ladies of the realms, Jack traveled trying to make a living for himself the only way he knew how. Weaving lies. And that's when the Opunger had arrived. Fleeing the world, Jack found himself in the mundane world smack dab in the middle of the Civil War. Joining the cause under a fake name and fake reputation, Jack was able to move his way through the south, racking up as much money and prestige as he could. But even that had to come to an end.  Fun while it lasted, Jack found his way back to the Fable community, scamming the poor citizen of New York where he could. Internet Startup company? Diet Pills? Jack had done it all and had lost it all too. Lucky never seemed to be on his side. But hey when you're the Jack of all Trade who needs luck? Still trying to make it big and live a life of luxury, Jack is a far cry from an upstanding citizen.  But he tries mostly. Not one for rules, Jack tends to live outside the law and cause trouble where he can without getting into too much trouble with the Big Bad Wolf. With everything that’s happened in the town as of late, many fingers are pointed toward the troublemaker. But Jack isn’t the boy who cried wolf so maybe just maybe he’s not to blame for some of it.

NAME: Hercules AGE: Thirty OCCUPATION: Fitness Coach/Volunteer Fireman [ negotiable ] STORY: Greecian Myth — IN SHORT  — With a growing business and heroic past time, Hercules has hardly shied away from his moral and good nature. But over the years the anger has only been building and even a demigod like himself has a boiling point. With the string of recent murders and missing persons, one can hardly leave the "good" "upstanding" man like Herc from the suspect list, given his past.

— HISTORY  — Sometimes not all Greek tragedies happen they way one thinks. Something that might seem impossible, might just actually be gospel truth. Born of half god and half man, Hercules the son of Zeus was raised by two very mortal parents. But growing up a demigod went about as well as one would expect. Outcasted and a misfit, Hercules had trouble finding a place to fit in. A place to belong. Destined for more than a mediocre life, young Hercules knew something was missing. And like many other demigods and famous heroes before him Perseus, Theseus, Odysseus, Jason, Achilles, his destiny was always presented and designed by the fates. As young Hercules came into his own after training feverishly from adolescence into manhood, taught by the best Greecian scholars including Apollo and his son Linus as well as Philoctetes and Cheiron. Shaping him into the young hero he was. But that was a far cry from the end of his journey.  Plagued to endure the curse of the Gods at the hand of Hera, stepmother and scorned wife of Zeus, Hercules faced opposition in his life. Thinking himself happy, Hercules allowed himself to believe things were fine until Hera intervened once more. Driven made right raged- a rage he displayed once before when he killed Linus--murdered five children and his at the time, soon to be wife. Guilt-stricken, Hercules sought out the advice of the Oracle of Delphi who directed the repentant demigod to his cousin. Little did Hercules know that already his wicked stepmother Hera was whispering in the king's ear. Tasked with 12 labors, each one more deadly than the last, Hercules fought and pushed on to redeem his soul. During one of his labors, having killed the Mianyans Hercules was awarded Megara as a bride and prize. Hercules fell hard and fast for the woman but his labors were far from over and his life far from safe. 

But before he could complete his labors it seemed fate had other plans. The Opunger came through the lands like the black plague, Hera and scorned Hades at his sides. Agreeing to surrender the fight and his godhood to save Meg's life, Hercules let the world fall into darkness as long as she remained safe. In a split moment Hercules, battling to protect the land he called him allowed the woman he loved be swept form him and taken by the Opunger. Separated, Hercule's anger was unparalleled and he scoured the realms looking for any clue as to where the new king of the land had taken her. Stumbling upon the mundane world, Hercules had nearly given up hope. Guilt, anger and the swell of the need for revenge bubbled inside him as he made his living in the mundane world. Hoping to one day find his way back to the Opunger's world and kill the man once and for all. By that was years ago, when the world as they all knew it now was just starting out. Quickly adjusting to the world at large, Hercules found a place where he could mentor people, help them in a way only a demigod could. With one of the most successful fitness programs and training classes in the state of NY, Hercules has made a name for himself but once a hero always a hero. With no qualms about rushing into a burning building, Hercules still tries to be a hero in the only way he can. But hasn't forgotten his true goal in life and hasn’t been able to dwindle the need to redeem himself and get his revenge. But with that temper of his always ready to react, Herc might find himself in a lot more hot water than he once was.

Hello members!!

So a couple things we need to address as well as a small activity check at the end so without further ado!!

1) The bulletin will be posting the final piece of the PLOT DROP today around 8pm MST TOMORROW PLEASE WRAP UP ALL PLOT DROP THREADS AND ICs by Monday (1/21). 

2) We're  a bit lenient with activity lately ( both Mods are swamped with adult life and work and such so we'll be checking activity every 4 days instead of 2. And our activity will now be 7 days instead of 5. That being said, EVERYONE has until WEDNESDAY (1/24) to post ON THE DASH unless you've requested a hiatus or have spoken to us about the activity as we know a few people are having technical/personal issues! Communication is key here C:

3) OUR NEXT event will be February 16/17th  so more information is to come with that. Our third wave of bios will begin posting TOMORROW ( Jack Horner aka Jack the Gaint Slayer and Hercules should be posted by 10PM MST today to kick us off). If there are any request for stories/fables you'd like to see let us know!

4) The main is slowly but surely being updated so bare with Admin Hels as she’s working on it when her time allows!! BUT the goal is to have everything once again up to date by Monday.

5) LASTLY, if anyone is unfollowed and wishes to return to the group message the admin before filling out an app, so we can note it and discuss accordingly.

PLOT DROP 001: HEADS WILL ROLL

It’s late as the auctions are being tallied. Attendees fall into a hush as they wait on pins and needles to discover who’s won just what. All eyes are on the small stage and mico with silent prayer they’re about to win a lot of land, riches, and titles. The crowd is practically vibrating in wait. Some disinterested parties dot the crowd, they’re eyes rolling.

Just as the speaker taps the mic to get everyone’s attention, a blood cruddling scream rings out through the halls of the Sherwood. It echoes off the wall, followed quickly by another scream.

               CONFUSION sweeps the room. 

Everyone looks at the body beside them in question. Who could have made such a sound? And why? A scan of the crowd shows several fables are not in attendance anymore. Has ALICE just stepped out for fresh air? Where did that tricky CHESHIRE CAT actually slip off too if not by the bar? Is the RED QUEEN really off powdering her nose? 

The cries of horror turn in please for HELP and CALL THE SHERIFF! without a breath between.As a whole, the attendees rush to the noise. Only the important people get to really see what lays around the corner. Door ajar, the pale white figure-- a neighbor of sorts--of Miss Muffet leans against the door, hand pressed to her forehead. With a shaky hand, she points to the room, dread in her eyes.

Carefully the SHERIFF and  THE ASSISTANT MAYOR approach. Without much thought, the door is pushed open showing a ghastly scene.

[tw: blood, dead body, nothing too graphic. ]

The smell of blood hits the nose first, then decomposing flesh. With a clear view of the room now the scene comes into focus.  It looks like someone's splattered the floor in a dark carmine colored paint. Sticky to the touch it becomes clear what coats the floor in a puddle is not in fact paint but blood.Upon the wall, still dripping at it dries lay the message: "ALL FABLES ARE DEAD" alongside the what looks to be two animal horns, curved and sharp. 

Shivers run down the spines of everyone witnessing the uncovering. 

And just as if you think it can't get worse. It does. Surrounded by the puddle lays the body. Unidentifiable as it is, there's no mistaking the clothing, with its red heart on the jacket, or who they once belonged too.  The Knave of Hearts.  But there's one thing missing.  A glance is exchanged between those who run the community. Accusations form and questions arise.

                          A GASP of horror echoed through the hushed crowd.

All eyes turn to the source but one can't be named. Was it you? Was it someone besides you? No one dares asks and no one dares admits it’s them.

Once again the scene is shown as the investigation begins. Laying beside the body, gleaming in the faint fluorescent light that flickers on and off. The vorpal sword lays, the edge coated in a sticky messy splatter of red.  

It's a horrible sight, even the small glimpses given are enough to unsettle the stomach. But there are one pressing questions...Where's the head?

The plot drop will last from January 2nd- Jan 9th ( In game time over the course of 3-4 days). We ask that you wrap up any event threads by January 3rd. We’re not going to ask you to pause any non-event/ non-plot drop threads but we do want everyone involved in this plot drop!!! Throughout the seven days, we’ll be releasing new developments and information with the FPD Bulletin blog (link above ).  

Please feel free to make a start of your character reacting to the news, maybe spreading some gossip of who’s being arrested while they drink at the Snuggle Duckling or Velvet Note. There’s sure to be a lot of interactions as more and more information is released so stay tuned!

Think your character is safe from being a suspect? Think again. Everyone has plenty of motive to have killed our very dislikable victim. Think you know who did it? Think again. At the conclusion of the five days, we will hold a trail for whoever ends up being guilty. More information on this will be released when it gets closer to the end.

TASK 003: HOLIDAY GALA

It’s here! the first night of the Gala and auction. so put on those ruby slippers, dust off your gowns and tuxedos! We want to see what each character is wearing. Remember not all nobility managed to get out with their riches, not all thieves are scrapping the barrel. Some have had to rebuild their fortune, other manage to make it by.  It all depends on where they fall on the economic line how fancy or expensive their attire should be. Meaning someone living in Winkie Country shouldn't be able to afford Jimmy Choos unless they stole them ( which is totally plausible).

EVENT 001: HOLIDAY GALA with AUCTION

Beginning DEC 29th until DEC 31st, The Sherwood Apartment Ballroom will be transformed into an elegant evening event fit for the many kings and queens. All members of the Fable Community are invited, but bring the checkbook for the auction! Several members of the Nobility class have decided to put their land and or title up for the grab on the off chance the community finds its way back to their realms.  Other things like baskets and merchandise donated by the fable community will also be up for grabs! Food and drinks will be provided thanks to Tarts! Bring a date! Go solo! Come and enjoy the festivities.

Black Tie Attire required.

Doors open at 12PM NOON MST. 

The auction will be held on the 31st

Please feel free to continue normal threads while this is going on. this will be a DASH & IC EVENT. Meaning you may throw a starter up, do things on the dash or take it over to the discord for some real time IC things. ( both admins will be around to help with this and or start the ball rolling don't worry!)
