I "white" Dîner en Blanc. What a beautiful event! Finished the day tired but fun. --- The concept of le Diner en Blanc: To this day, the concept is the same all over the world. The purpose of the evening is to allow participants to reclaim an iconic public space in their city for one evening and enjoy it in an elegant, convivial, and spontaneous yet controlled manner. Thousands of friends and newly made acquaintances meet in their most elegant whites, on mass for a glamorous picnic in an outdoor public space. The location remains a secret to the guests until the day of the event. Guests must bring their own tables, chairs, crockery, glassware, silver, white napery and a white garbage bag to take away their own refuse. All are encouraged to bring a delicious epicurean meal and food hampers are also available to purchase online before the event. Diner en Blanc is a wine only licensed event, no beer or spirits are allowed. Be mine, be yours --- Uncovering Sydney's hidden gems: Yesterday I decided to visit Wendy's secret garden located in Clark Park near a beautiful Lavender Bay. The land used be covered with weed and rubbish. Long history short, after the death of Brett Whiteley, a famous Australian artist, his widow Wendy channelled her grief and transformed the land into a majestic peaceful enchanted garden with natives, exotics, herbs, romantic picnic tables, and greenery fig trees running along winding gully paths with flowers and berries. It's also a haven for native birds. Some people said you would feel like Alice in Wonderland. From the garden, you can see an expansive view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Represented by love, loss and renewal, the garden is secretly hidden in the busy Northern Sydney. It is definitely worth a visit.
