Was a hard day! I am always glad to be able to help my friends and today I had two difficult conversations.

Today’s class was super supportive. Like I felt it was nice to coment with each other our insights on the phd and sooo good to be able to learn from academics that are real experts 🫶🏼 so in love with that!

Sat., 19 of Nov.

I just turned 27 yesterday. It was quite a nice day, I went back home to celebrate and spend the day going from one house to another. As years go by, I enjoy more the small meetings with good friends, few of them rather than big group party-kind meetings where I can bearly speak to anyone, same relates to the gifts situation, as Bauman used to say: the greatest thing you can gift someone is the sacrifice of your time.

Apart from that, the talks about Xmas are already A thing and I am not in love with it. To be honest, sometimes I wish I could invite everyone home and just take care of it by myself. Cause all the talk around it's sooooo annoying!

Regarding the Ph.D., I've been having a couple of meetings with someone who is encouraging me to keep going and telling me I am in a good way and with a stimulating topic which is always very heartwarming, still I am quite behind the schedule, so we'll need to keep pushing.

Monday, 14 of Nov. 2022

It’s been a long weekend. Full of things to do and people to enjoy with, which is nice once in a while! I meet exciting people and find two new art pieces for my bedroom which is going to be too full by the end of this year.

My budget is broken and my heart is in pain. But my academic life is making everything feel that eveeything makes sense, and that’s what matters -at least for me- at the end of the day.

I’ve been quite disconnect of the regular blogging these summer months, but my plan is to go back to it now that I can wear my trench coat again.

I started a new course last week on landscape and vegetation, tho my thesis is no longer part of urban planning. The reason to do so is that it makes me think out of my ordinary mental framework. In it, we work with artists and people coming from diverse disciplines and even if I can’t say I am comfortable in it, that’s the point of doing so!

I was told once that I tend to choose the hard path, but from my point of view that’s not the tough way just the most challenging one and I think everyone should, every now and then, try it.

De semanas intensas, de recuerdos que repito sin parar y escenas contigo que desearía volvieran a suceder.

De cenas divertidas, de multitud de videollamadas y menos rapidez en terminar tareas que no me gustan de lo que quiero reconocer.

De la peli de Bowie, las sesiones de natación y la cara de pez. Del abrigo negro y el chaquetón azul. De no esperar nada y quererlo todo.

De rincones bonitos en mi mesa (que incluyen café) y me animan a seguir. De planificaciones de papers que hay que terminar antes del miércoles que viene, de lecturas amontonándose a mares...y de la receta con la que pienso motivarme mañana por la mañana.

Sum Up On NYFW SS2023:

About the colours: yellows and purples are gonna be on trend. I saw mustards, bright yellow and lavenders but also dark purple. Lime and turquoise are also seen.

White its gonna be A thing and black when it comes to shiny materials such as leather. Talking about basics, camel is also back in sweaters and trench, also some grey tho its not homogeneous among shows.

Tul seems to be slightly coming back out of Giambattista’s atelier and any material that may show some of your skin is also welcome (such as crochet, strass…am I making sense?)

Gibson’s girl vibes are visible: corsets, midi skirts, tube shape skirts even the fit in some oversize blouses are giving the S shape.

Last but not least, tiny or quite big clutch, hats everywhere ( Handmaids Tale mood, reminds me of Valentino’s pre-pandemics buckets) and platform heels (looks comfy need to say). Kept seeing some coloured eye liner in blue Klein, tho I would wear that in this A/W season.

I want to repost that when the season SS is about to star, but I can’t guarantee I will remember to do so 🙃 still, hope you like it!
