Powers Rangers comics, of all things, has done this. Shattered Grid comics storyline had this idea at its core. Lord Drakon, a version of Tommy Oliver/the Green Ranger that actually chose to rejoin Rita after being freed from the mond control spell, started looking into the multiverse and seeing every other Tommy out there was a beloved and respected hero while he alone was a reviled tyrant and murderer.
His response was to come up with a plan to make himself omnipotent and rewrite the multiverse into just one world with himself as the only hero.
people always talk about evil clones like oooh a dark mirror oohh what if you saw what a cruel person you were/are capable of becoming. and well yes but what if you were the evil clone. what if you looked in the mirror and what you saw was so bright it blinded you. what if you had to know exactly how good you could have been.

Attacked by Kronos from Percy Jackson, protected by Kratos from God of War. Kratos is the perfect defense for anything Greek mythology related, so I'm fine.

On the USS Prodigy with the Traveler. Okay, things are probably gonna get crazy and I might end up like Wesley Crusher, but this definitely could've gone worse.
You are dropped in a Star Trek location. Spin this wheel to find out which location and this wheel to find out who you are with.

Five-ish years later Dick is ressurected by the Lazarus Pit/Superboy Prime punching time/whatever. But instead of going off on a needlessly dramatic vengeance plan as the Night Hood, he just strolls into the Batcave like "Hey Bruce, so the craziest thing just happened."

A Death in the Family AU part 1
"The Origin of Redwing"
What if (AU)...
What if Bruce and Dick weren't entirely at odds? What if Dick accompanied Bruce to the East? And what if Dick died instead of Jason?

I mean the buns start off as purple then turn blue once Clark and Lana are holding them, which is quite frankly more worrying than any suspiciously colored condiments.

I bet Lana has a lot of stories of poor, sickly Clark Kent. Action Comics 573

Okay, but the idea of Bruce angsting about how Dick's parents would hate him for the dangerous superhero life he led their son into, only for John and Mary to be sincerely thrilled about it is great.
Bruce: Oh god, why did I let this child into this awful life, I've failed his dead parents worse than I failed mine!
Meanwhile,
John Grayson's ghost: Yeah, go get 'em, Dickie! Mary did you see that flip?!
Mary Grayson's ghost: I did! Kick that guy in the face, son!

I feel like the thing here is that they're very different kinds of engineers. Scotty is a fixer, he specializes in immediate problems, either fixing broken things or jerry rigging a solution to imminent peril. Tony is an inventor, he discovers new and fun ways to break physics and makes machines to do it reliably. A more accurate Star Trek counterpart to Tony would be someone like Zephram Cochrane or Noonien Soong.
That's not to say that either is incapable of what the other specializes in or that they're not both geniuses in their own right. It's just that their strengths lie in different areas, and that makes judging which is 'better' very difficult.

It always cracks me up that Nightwing's big debut panel is him showing off his new suit and new name (in logo speak, no less)... to two people he just met. And you can tell he's a little disappointed that Jericho just put on a new costume as well, stepping on Dick's big moment.

If it helps, there is this Swamp from the Assassins Creed set that is just industrial revolution London.
although current magic: the gathering designers claim that black mana is not evil, the traits associated with it, both mechanically in game (sacrificing your own creatures and killing others', etc.) and in the narrative (ambition, selfishness, power), demonstrate that it is an antisocial force at least. the decision to associate the Swamp as a source of power for black decks is part of a long history in European cultures that reviles swamps, bogs, and other wetlands as evil places. this mindset contributed to the mass destruction of wetlands across the world until very recent scientific endeavors showed how important wetlands are. in reality, wetlands are extremely complicated, unique, and environmentally crucial ecosystems which exist in myriad forms on every continent save antarctica. to combat colonialist thought, i propose a radical change to the mtg paradigm by replacing the Swamp basic land type with one that truly represents a spawning ground for evil: the Parking Lot.

To be a little fair, the line of Calenhad does have some proven magical weirdness going on. Having a Therin baby is the only known cure for a Warden's Calling, after all. Maybe Eamon knows something we don't about Calenhad's lineage, and not having one around will doom Fereldan down the line?
Arl Eamon defending Alistair's qualifications to be king with "he knows how to lead troops to defend his land" when literally the warden has been leading the whole time and then ending with "and he knows who to turn to for aid should that training fail him" that's so suspicious dude... so funny for Loghain to accuse Eamon of trying to put a puppet on the throne and then pivoting to call the warden the puppeteer.

I mean, Amy had a few bad times, but she still got to survive and live out her life happily with Rory. Adric just fucking died and didn't even get to weasel out of his death Moffat style like Clara and Bill.
