Perspective correcting is a photo editing technique used to make all lines that are vertical in reality vertical in an image. In this case it’s the vertical edges of a building.

Graded Unit - Costs

Photoshoot -

Luckily as I was shooting around Mugdock Country Park (an outdoor location open to the public) I did not have to pay to access it. However I did have to buy a few props for the shoot including a pair of binoculars and an old fashioned radio. To save money when searching for these props I looked on websites such as eBay to find cheaper second hand items.

Prints -

When researching prints I looked into both loxley and deadly digital. Although loxley was slightly more expensive I decided to go with them as I have purchased their prints before and know they are reliable. Out of they paper types they offered for giclée fine art prints I chose Fuji fine art photo rag as i felt it would suit the colours of my chosen images best.

Graded Unit - Post Production

When colour grading my final images I decided to create the look of film by using Adobe Lightroom to add a deeper contrast as well as warmer tones to all of my photos.

I liked the way this looked however I thought I would try to use Adobe Photoshop to add more of a Wes Anderson colour palette. By using the ‘match colour’ feature I was able to give them a lighter and more pastel look.

After looking at both examples I decided that the more filmic look I had originally created suited my photos a lot better.

Graded Unit - Storyboards

This is the storyboard I created at the beginning of the project however I put more detail into each image on there own and didn’t look at how they worked as a group. It lacks a clear narrative and I was unsure about how the story would end.

After my first shoot I decided to sketch out a quicker storyboard with more object and locations shots that would make the theme of my project clearer.
