I'm gonna put this as succinctly as possible, since I can tell by the tags on this post that the few brain cells you have are rattling around in your head like pennies in an empty piggybank:
a. Don't repost art. b. Don't repost ship art commissioned by a shipper and then get mad when people tag it appropriately, you fucking tool.

Batman vs. Common Sense
Warning: Fan comic with very stylised dead people in the background. Seriously, it’s nothing bad, but I thought I’ll give a heads up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image Description:fan comic with 6 panels. The first shows a battle field, fire is in the background and falls from the sky, Batman walks across the fields. In the second, he holds because someone calls his name. The third panel shows Batman an Wonder Woman. She looks angry, has her arms crossed and says “He can’t be here.” and Batman asks “Why?”. In the fourth panel Dick Grayson as Robin peeks out from behind Batman’s cape and Wonder Woman says from off panel “Because he is nine.” The fifth panel shows Dick with a self confident and lecturing expression, saying “It’s not a school night, ma’am”. The last panel shows Batman smirking, Dick smiling and Wonder Woman scowling as Batman and Dick walk away. Batman says “You heard him. It’s not a school night, ma’am”]

I reread “Under the Red Hood” and saw the revival of the “Fuck you -When?” meme on twitter. So this really isn’t my fault.

The more I think about the Bullseye "redemption-ish" arc plotline they are apparently moving forward with in DDBA season 2, the more confused I get.
Leaving aside for the moment the obvious insanity of that with the fact that Bullseye killed Foggy, and that Matt knows this, and that MATT killed Bullseye, is it ever confirmed that Dex knows who Daredevil is? A lot of people assumed that he does in episode 1, but it's never stated, and I think it's actually implied in episode 8 that Dex DOESN'T know that Matt's Daredevil. So it makes those BTS photos of Daredevil and Bullseye fighting with each other even more confusing.
So Dex thinks that Matt hates the Fisks because he reveals to him that Vanessa is the one who ordered the hit on Foggy. And he knows that Daredevil hates him personally because he threw him off a roof with the intent to kill him. I guess you could say he put two and two together while in prison, but it seems to me that an important plot point like that would be explicitly stated. I guess the answer to that question will be revealed in seasin 2, but still, it calls a lot of things into question.
Oh, and also, it's absolute insanity that they are doing any kind of redemption arc for Bullseye. It completely flies in the face of everything that happened in season 3, and it's so character assassinating for Matt, my brain can't even comprehend it. Matt KILLED Bullseye. Dex was saved by a Deus Ex Machina, but Matt's intention was for him to die when he threw him off the roof, which he reiterates in episode 9.
Scardapane said that the decision to kill off Foggy would have far reaching consequences for the entire show. He called his death "a meteor hitting planet Matt." And the worst thing that's ever happened to him. Charlie said that Matt "would never be the same again" after losing Foggy, with an incredibly sad expression on his face. Scardapane can say whatever he wants in interviews, but the way he actually wrote it in the show, and what we're getting about season 2 from all of the leaks and interviews is saying the complete opposite.
The show SHOULD be moving away from Fisk, and toward Bullseye as the main villain for Daredevil. Matt has more personal cause to hate Dex than he does to hate Fisk at this point in his life. Dex killed Father Lantom, Matt's last father figure and his last remaining thread to his childhood. He killed Ray Nadeem, who was a parallel to Matt's own father. He attempted to kill Karen. He killed countless innocent people.
Oh, and he killed FOGGY NELSON, Matt's life partner. Dex has never, at any point, shown any remorse for any of these murders (they even state this directly in episode 1 during his sentencing.) How do you redeem this character?
I know we don't have all of the facts, but I am very, very suspicious of this plot line. The ONLY way I could accept Matt working with Dex in any capacity is if Dex reveals to Matt that Foggy is alive, and he will only help Matt if Matt helps him. That's it, that's the only scenario where any of this makes sense. But if that's the case, it better be revealed in episode 1 scene 1.
Edit: Oh and are we also supposed to believe that Karen "I shot Wesley 7 times b/c he deserved it" Page would somehow be ok with this?? What are these writers doing??

excuse me for stating the obvious but like. james gunn outright calling superman an immigrant and doubling down on it when he got backlash (because he IS an immigrant, that's the point of superman) + the in-movie dialogue of "aren't you going to read me my rights?" "you're an extraterrestrial, son. you haven't got any rights to read." + the violence of his arrest and how they torture and mistreat him unapologetically, all under the guise of "protecting america", in a film releasing during the onslaught of violent ICE kidnappings and abuse... yeah it's really no wonder right-wing knobheads are crying about this being woke. they're being forced to look directly at the reasons one of the most notorious heroes of all time would not be on their side. and that's only ONE of the reasons this movie covers

I see posts go by periodically about how modern audiences are impatient or unwilling to trust the creator. And I agree that that's true. What the posts almost never mention, though, is that this didn't happen in a vacuum. Audiences have had their patience and trust beaten out of them by the popular media of the past few decades.
J J Abrams is famous for making stories that raise questions he never figures out how to answer. He's also the guy with some weird story about a present he never opened and how that's better than presents you open--failing to see that there's a difference between choosing not to open a present and being forbidden from opening one.
You've got lengthy media franchises where installments undo character development or satisfying resolutions from previous installments. Worse, there are media franchises with "trilogies" that are weird slap fights between the makers of each installment.
You've got wildly popular TV shows that end so poorly and unsatisfyingly that no one speaks of them again.
On top of that, a lot of the media actively punishes people for engaging thoughtfully with it. Creators panic and change their stories if the audience properly reacts to foreshadowing. Emotional parts of storytelling are trampled by jokes. Shocking the audience has become the go to, rather than providing a solid story.
Of course audiences have gotten cynical and untrusting! Of course they're unwilling to form their own expectations of what's coming! Of course they make the worst assumptions based on what's in front of them! The media they've been consuming has trained them well.

"i can't read the relationship tag on ao3 fics so you should also tag them as incest or else I'll be triggered and it'll be your falut"
don't cite the deep magic to me witch i was there when it was created

Tumblr can surprise you. I didn’t know antis still make “please don’t write or draw [insert “problematic“ ship] because it makes me uncomfortable” posts. In 2025.
Amazing.
(while this is very funny to me, on a serious note: if you actually think people should stop creating stuff they love because it gives you the ick, I hope you’re like 12 years old. Beyond that, this degree of entitlement is concerning)
