Can we get Elfo and Dereck being friends please? I think they would get along great! ^_^ (And can you also add Luci watching them and being jealous that Elfo is spending time with the prince?)

I like this idea and i’ve drawn some more along this vein but it’s kinda in a loose story so I’ll have to compile it all together with accompanying fic snippet.

For now, have Elfo realizing Derek can’t put jam on toast and teaching him how, because everyone should have that skill

I gently cradled Luci’s body while Bean was being comforted by her mother. The steam of my tears floated in the air as I cried. I never felt such sadness in all my life.

I understand why Bean chose her mother over Luci, but I still can’t help but feel sad. Sure, Luci was a jerk but he was our jerk. And despite how mean he can be, I could tell that he really cared about us. He proved that time and time again. Now Luci is gone, and he’s never coming back.

I should’ve seen that stupid arrow coming in the first place. Some demon I am. I can’t fly, I can’t breathe fire and I couldn’t even protect one of my best friends. Everyone back in Hell was right about me. I am nothing but a pathetic little shrimp.

I eventually got up and slowly carried Luci’s body out of the church with Bean and Dagmar following behind me.

Luci, I wish you were here right now… so I can tell you how sorry I am…

I took a deep breath of his cigarette as I gazed at the hay statue of Zog as everyone dance around it. These are my kind of people. Bean’s dad is probably the worst person I have ever met and that’s saying a lot considering all the jerks I’ve acquainted myself with over the years. The king constantly demanding me to give him blood, day in and day out until I almost pass out. Zog makes that chump, Emperor Cloyd look like a saint.  But at least he gave permission for Bean to join this weird festival for once.

I turned his head to look at Bean was laughing and dancing while Demono was twirling around the crowd, without a care in the world.

Princess Bean is literally one of the funnest people I have ever met. Man, can that girl know how to party! Demono on the other hand… I remember when I used to not like Demono at all. The demon reminded me too much of Elfwood and how everyone there was always smiling, always singing and always happy.  Their entire lives are all just one big sugar-coated scam! It disturb me how much he was like them.

But I slowly noticed that Demono wasn’t like the elves. Demono isn’t happy all the time. There were times he shows negative emotions especially anger and I can’t help but provoke that rage by making Bean do crazy stunts. However I  had to admit, what happened tonight was going a little too far. Because I slipped alcohol into Bean’s drink, she and her family and himself almost died today. Demono would’ve been fine since he’s immortal but still…

Though I wouldn’t admit it, Bean was one of his best friends and she almost had gotten eaten alive because of him. For the first time in my life, I actually feel bad about endangering the lives of others. I almost feel… guilty.

“Hey Luci, wanna dance?”

I jolted at the smiling demon’s sudden presence. “Geez kid! You’re getting a lot better at sneaking up on people.”

Demono giggled playfully. “Hey, I’m a century older then you and you know it! You still didn’t answer my question?”

I took a long drag of my cigarette. “I’m not exactly the dancing type buddy.”

Demono looked a little sad but shrugged with a smile. “Okay, but if you ever change your mind, you know where to find me!” Without another word, the little demon skipped back to the other dancers.

I can’t help but smile fondly at the little runt.

Another thing that made Demono different from the elves is that he can take no for an answer and doesn’t force me to be happy like the elves would. Demono also always forgives me for my mistakes, no matter how big they are. He’s always willing to give me a second chance.

You know what? Just this once, I’m gonna accept the dance offer… right after this one last smoke.

Ugh, Demono was driving me crazy more then usual. Ever since those psycho twins kidnapped and tried to cook me alive, Demono wouldn’t stop sniffing and licking my face! I should have just stayed with Bunty and let her put me in that stupid frilly pink dress.

“Argh! Demono, enough already! How many times do I have to tell you to stop!?” I pushed the twerp away from my face, only for him to start licking my hand instead.

“Seriously?” I groan in disgust.

“Sorry Luci, I can’t help it! I’ve never tasted anything like this before!” Demono leaned in to lick my face again.

“Oh no, you don’t!” I bolted out of the room as fast as I could, but I could hear the pitter patter of little feet eagerly following behind me.

I almost preferred being back in a cage over this craziness.

After defeating Big Jo and accidentally releasing all the demons he captured, we decided to return home. That night in the castle was silent yet peaceful. Bean was sound asleep in her bed, while me and Demono gazed up at the starry night sky together.

“Damn, I can’t believe I’ve unleashed ultimate evil on the world today. Some of my best work yet.”

“I can’t believe risked you guys risked your lives to save me.”

“...Well, Bean wouldn’t have let here the end of it if I let you die.”

“You didn’t have to go with her.”

“I know… that’s what makes me so great.”

“...Thank you, Luci. I’m so lucky to have a friend like you.”

“We are NOT friends!”

“ Hehehe, whatever you say Lucille.”

Demono nuzzled my cheek and I didn’t bother to smack him away… this time.
