May I ask the software you use to write?
Congratulations on getting so much done!
Thank you so much. And, of course.
I use the Reedsy Book Editor for all of my writing projects, and I've been using it for about three years now. I also have experience with other amazing softwares, and I would love to create more tutorials on them if you need me to.
Here's a quick tutorial on how to use the Reedsy Book Editor.
When you visit the website, the first thing you'll come across is this page. It's a completely free writing tool with a fantastic interface. All you need to do is sign up with your Google or Facebook account.
Tumblr media
After you've completed the sign-up process and provided some information about yourself, you will be directed to this page. Please locate the "Books" option in the website's header.
Tumblr media
Feel free to give your book/WIP (Work in progress) a title. Remember, it's okay if it's not your final title, as you can always change it in the settings of your book later.
Tumblr media
Once you've created it, you can take your time and when you're ready, you can click "Write.”
Tumblr media
Once you click "Write," you'll be directed to the next page. There, you'll find your chapters, the space to write your manuscript, and a sidebar with various helpful features provided by Reedsy.
Tumblr media
Then, you can choose any name for your chapter that feels meaningful to you.
Tumblr media
You can also track your writing goals for your specific manuscript or book. This feature provides insights into your writing habits, such as the days you've written and the number of words you've written. You can also set a target word count goal for the manuscript, and you also have the option to set manual writing goals. Additionally, you can check the word count in your current chapter from the bottom of the widget.
Tumblr media
You have the option to set a deadline and choose the days that work best for you to write. This will help Reedsy estimate a realistic word count goal for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember that on Reedsy, there's a new beta feature that allows you to plan and outline your novel without having to leave the website. It offers note cards for you to jot down the plot and scenes from your novel, which can serve as a helpful guide and provide a simple outline to support your writing process.
Tumblr media
Also, don’t forget the various features available to you when creating your book in Reedsy. For instance, you have the option to include preset formatted pages such as a dedication page and an epigraph that resonates with your story. These features can add a lot of value to your book, and I encourage you to explore them further.
Tumblr media
Hopefully this can help you understand the basics of Reedsy Book Editor. One of my favorite writing softwares that is completely FREE!
Hey fellow writers! I'm super excited to share that I've launched a Tumblr community. I'm inviting all of you to join my community. All you have to do is fill out this Google form, and I'll personally send you an invitation to join the Write Right Society on Tumblr! Can't wait to see your posts!

Helpful Creative Writing Warmups
Your brain isn't technically a muscle, but warmups can get your creativity flowing before diving back into your WIP or a new story.
Try these warmups when you need to loosen your mind and do something a little different than normal.
30 Second Stream of Consciousness Writing
Set a timer and throw every thought you have onto paper. Do they make sense? Are they just the embodiment of your anxiety? Who cares! Get it out of your head and see if that loosens up your writing abilities.
Describe Something Close to You
Look to your right. Look to your left. Pick one thing and spend a few sentences describing it. Get that creative flow working and repeat if you're enjoying it.
Write to a Song
It's easy to write a paragraph-length scene about a song with story-like lyrics, but what happens when you write whatever comes to mind while listening to low-fi? A thunderstorm? An acoustic cover? Let's find out!
Make an Object Come to Life
If the half empty water bottle next to you came to life, what would it say? Write a few sentences and move onto another object if you enjoy the exercise.
Write About How a Show/Movie Made You Feel Recently
Talk about the movie or TV show that last made you laugh, cry, get angry or feel joy. What captured your heart so deeply? Use a page to write about it. It may help connect you to the heart in your current/next story.
Pick a Different Genre and Write 50 Words
Writers can often get stuck in the same genre (I'm totally guilty of that!). Pick something wildly different and write a 50-word story in that genre. It might be trash, it might be treasure. It will definitely be a creative writing exercise.
Find a Prompt and Write About It For One Page
There are tons of great writing prompt tumblrs with fresh ideas you'd never think of otherwise. Commit one page to a prompt that catches your eye and write something just for yourself.
Rewrite Your Favorite or Least Favorite Scene
in a book or movie. maybe it's the ending, the beginning, or a scene in the middle. limit yourself to a few sentences or a page to keep it flash fiction. low stakes--already familiar with the characters, setting, conflict.
Write Without a Specific Letter
Are you up for a real challenge? Write a 10-sentence story without a letter. Any letter. It's way harder and more fun than you'd think.
---
Have fun challenging yourself and trying something new next time you're bored 💛

I have like five going maybe too many maybe not lol
One should always have at least 2 craft projects going. That way, when one of them is messed up and misbehaving, you can switch to another, and let the first one sit there and think about what it's done.

Its been a while
Hello! So I know it's been literally two years since I last posted and I'm sorry. Honestly though nothing has really changed. I've read a lot of books, haven't FINISHED any crochet projects really, and haven't done any puzzles. Really I've just been focusing on school and that's been hard enough. I've literally been just doing school since fall of 21 and I've had health issues between then so I haven't had much free time. I am taking the summer off though so I'm finally getting a break. I am still working on some crochet and cross stitch stuff and there are pictures below. So anyways get ready for some book reviews and maybe some pics of my summer activities!

Update. Selling Crochet Projects
So I haven’t given a full update in a while so here one is. First, if you look on my page you’ll see I recently graduated high school and am moving to college in August so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to crochet the same amount as I have been for the foreseeable future.
This little guy I crocheted for my friend and it took a lot longer than it looks like it did.
Tumblr media
Then this ceramics project I’ve been working on since the new year shattered. But some crazy glue will fix that as soon as i find a back board to but it on.
Tumblr media
Um I started a new book series called divergent by Veronica Roth. I've only read the first book but i want to read the other books first before i write a review (the first book only took me two days to read so it shouldn’t be too long of a wait).
Also really big thing!! Ive started selling my crochet projects! Right now I only have a bee and strawberry in stock but if you would like anything from my page (excluding the dragon, koala, piglet, turtle, and other acrylic projects) message me and we can maybe work something out. Just a warning I’ve never really done this before so please be patient with somethings. Also the reason why I excluded acrylics is because of how long they take but if you are willing to wait a month or so for one I’ll see what I can do. However I am still not doing a dragon order because 1.) I’m not able to give an accurate price on it to estimate how much it will be 2.) it takes so fricking long to make just because of it’s size 3.) because it takes so long I would require a down payment but because I don’t have a price estimate it would be difficult to set a down payment rate.

First two books of Haddix’s Found series Review
Note: This post was drafted ✨months✨ ago but i never posted it so here it is.
This is a book series that I started reading about four years ago but only read up to book four so I decided to completely restart the series.
The plot of the first book is pretty simple, Jonah and Chip both get mysterious letters in the mail and begin to investigate who sent them and why. During this Chip discovers that he was adopted (Jonah was adopted as well but he had always known) and looks through his parents stuff to find more about it because his parents would rather ignore the subject completely. Over the span of a couple weeks they have a run in with the FBI and find out about a top secret occurrence twelve years ago and how all the people that were involved are being rounded up again in their area.
One thing that I noticed about this book (and the second really) is that I remember reading these in eighth grade and finding it easy to understand the plot, relationships of the character, and different character’s thought patterns so when I thought about picking the series up again I thought I would be bored out of my mind reading it. Needless to say I was wrong. Now since I have read these before I did know all the plot twists and what not but during this read I was able to pick up on more subtler details. To me Haddix has an AMAZING talent of being able to tell a complete story on the surface level but also able to tell a deeper, richer story to a higher level reader.
In all honesty though I am taking a break from the series ( I know, I know I’ve only read to the second book why would I stop now ). These books are on average 300 pages long and there are ten books in this series and while it is good there is another book I got my hands on that I want to start reading immediately.
Ok so I know this was a really crappy review but my brain feels like mush rn so... Bye.

It’s been a while
So I haven’t really been keeping up with this blog for a bit so let’s catch up. First I’ve started selling my crochet projects for money (what else would I sell it for lmao) so here are some recent ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of these were done in chunky yarn so they didn’t take took long to do but right now I’m doing two acrylic orders ( a koala and a piglet ) to get done by next Monday so it’s kinda stressing me out. Also in that time span Im doing a pengiun but I am trying to get a pattern for it with chunky yarn so it doesn’t take that long.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then yesterday I went to the zoo with a friend and had an owl stare into my soul (not kidding first i moved myself into it’s eyesight but it didn’t look like it registered me so I moved over to its plague and started reading and looked up to see it once again staring at me so I took a pic)
Tumblr media
I haven’t been reading that much recently so don’t expect a review any time soon unless I decide to talk about some manga. Also I only have one week of high school left so Im going to be busy with college stuff for a while.
Anyways that’s been my life recently what about you? I know I dont have many followers or even if people will see this post but tell me about what’s going on with you. Was it your birthday recently? Do anything fun with friends? Im really interested to know what all you’ve been doing even if I’ve never met you before so reblog this or just leave it down in the notes :D
ok thats all I got for now bye.

RANT
Why is it that if I need something done or to do something (i cant drive so even things that i dont need others help with i might need them for a ride) Im the last on the agenda. HOWEVER if THEY want something done I have to do it immediately! Why is it when i would like to eat out im told “We’re trying to not eat out as much to save money” but the VERY NEXT DAY i hear “and then i had to leave the restaurant before my food got to the table”! Why am i being rude if i don’t understand the point in a hoke or story but im also rude if they don’t understand the ones i tell? Why do they laugh when theyre being sarcastic and i don’t understand when they know i have a hard time with sarcasm. Why am i told im being over dramatic when they turn on dr pimple popper and make me watch it and i start to cry when they know good and well that my head was pinned against the wall for hours at a time so the pimples on my face could be popped!
Why do i want to go home when ive never really had one to begin with?

THE DRAGON IS DONE!!!!!!
So my last post about this guy got A LOT more notes than I was expecting so if you were waiting for an update here he is all finished and really. :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something i did find really funny about the way he turned out was how buff he looked from the front.
Tumblr media
Also just for scale here is a picture of him next to a bottle of water. He pretty big!
Tumblr media
The total time is well over 26hrs (IDK the exact time because I stopped timing myself after this point but it would be safe to assume the entire thing took 30hrs). I used an entire Red Heart Super Saver skein of yarn plus some for the dark green. He was meant to have wings but i forgot to do them and he looks fine without them so. Honestly the hardest part for me on this project was sewing the limbs on because the more limbs you sewed on the harder it was to work around them to sew the other limbs on. I did find an easy way to sew some pieces (especially open end pieces like the horns) saw to get a different color yarn and thread it through the exact stitches you will be stitching the pieces to so you don't have to eyeball it as much and you can clearly see what stiches you've been through or haven't been through. Most of the time this method is easy to hide just be careful near the ends because those are more difficult to conceal you can see my mess up on his left shoulder. I really like the eyes and let me tell you the pictures do not do them justice.
Since this project is finally done I plan to make one or two more unicorns (see my previous posts to see a picture) to sell them then after that I plan to do simple circle pillow with velvet yarn.
Also a short book review will be coming Monday or Tuesday of a book I plan to finish then. Also these past two weeks have been extremely rough on me because of school work as well as other things pertaining to mental health which I plan to talk about at some point in the next week.
If you would like to make your own dragon here is the pattern that I followed. Also here is the link to the eyes I used.

The Vanished Queen by Lisbeth Campbell Review
So i just finished this book yesterday and while the plot and characters were great the book didnt live up to my expectations. My first complaint about this book is how and when characters and places are introduced. Like most fantasy book the names of things are not common names and while that in itself isn't a problem it becomes one when it is done the way this book is done: trying to introduce characters and places and how they play into the plot in ten pages.
Secondly the graphic depictions. In books it is common to find one of two make out/sex scenes but in the 24 chapters of TVQ it seems that every other chapter is an incredibly detailed intercourse scenes. Now I may be bias because I read mainly at school and was always nervous someone would read a scene and get me in trouble, but for a book seemingly published for a young adult audience, the frequency and detail of these scenes doesn't fit right.
Thirdly the character and relationship development. The two main characters in this book are Anza and Esvar who at the beginning are on opposing sides Anza being a resister fighting against the king and his corruption and Esvar, a prince who while not siding with the king is trying to stomp the resistance out but as the story continues on Esvar starts working with the resistance to bring the king down with Anza being the mediator between him and the resistance. It seems to come out of nowhere when they become lovers though because there is little to no actual personal relationship development between them.
Finally the pacing of the story. Now i once again may be bias on this point because i tend to read more action fantasy and this book is mainly the political aspect of a resistance but even at the halfway point in the book it felt like nothing major had happened yet.
That's is the main problem with this book in my opinion but all in all i give it 3/5 stars. The characters felt very real especially Anza and the environment was very well depicted but with all of my complains about it I wouldnt recommend it to many people.
